After surprising fans during the major concert of “fellow fellow” by announcing his signing as an artist with “Kicks Records” last year, “Two Popetorn,” also known as Tu Popetorn Sunthornyanakij, has been steadily releasing content as a new artist under the label.
Now, it is time for the return of the memorable voice to many, with his first work under the new home after a long break from releasing music — the new single “Left of Us.”
“Left of Us” features lyrics and melody by To Mirr, with Mek Machina co-arranging the music, while Tan Lipta takes on production duties, presenting “Two Popetorn”’s identity and musical dimension in a fresh style unseen by fans before.
The song “Left of Us” tells the story of unexpectedly meeting someone who once deeply affected the heart. Though there is no desire to return, just seeing or meeting their gaze awakens memories again. The traces of feelings hidden in a small corner of the heart remain, even knowing that what ended was for the best, continuing to linger "small but deep." With “Two Popetorn”’s distinctive voice paired with lyrics about memories still deeply embedded in the heart,
“Left of Us” becomes another song that reflects the emotions of someone unable to forget a person no matter how much time passes. As expressed in the bridge: “Time, which someone once said would heal every heartache, but the memories you left are sinking deeper inside.” It concludes by accepting the reality and choosing to keep those feelings in memory, as in the line: “This ending is just fine, I understand.”
