James Ruangsak Returns with New Album, Releases Space Dust – A Self-Composed Song of Love and Loneliness

After "James Ruangsak" (James Ruangsak) makes a comeback with a new album after nearly 20 years, starting with the first single "Sunset," co-written with Jc Janez, known for the hit "Usa Sang." Recently, he released the second single from the album "Present Tense ปัจจุบันกาล" titled "Space Dust" which is one of nine tracks from the new album that James Ruangsak fully produced, wrote the lyrics, composed the melody, and arranged by himself.

"Space Dust" is a love song expressing the feelings of loss—whether from heartbreak, separation from a loved one, or saying goodbye to something important in life. "Space Dust" may be a tiny, almost invisible thing, but "dust in space" is even smaller, for it is not only intangible but also drifts alone in a vast emptiness, symbolizing a heart that once meant something to someone.

What remains are just fragments of memories floating in the vast universe. Yet, this song is not solely about sadness; it also speaks of the gradual acceptance of reality, acknowledging that some relationships have reached their end. Despite the pain, one chooses to smile at what has happened and lets oneself drift along with time.

The origin of "Space Dust" from James Ruangsak’s pen began with just one word: "Space Dust." Then James gathered images and words related to space—such as frequencies, lost signals, distances, and the silence of the universe—to weave a love song full of loneliness. Musically, James designed it with a contemporary pop feel, blending a floating atmosphere as if the listener were an astronaut stepping out of a spaceship, letting themselves float silently in the cosmos, with the music as the only thing still traveling with us.

Recently, James Ruangsak posted on his social media channels inviting fans to submit clips for the "Space Dust Challenge." Participants are asked to interpret "Space Dust" in their own style through videos using the song on Instagram and TikTok, competing for a total prize of 24,000 baht. The contest ends on 12 August. For more details, follow all of James Ruangsak’s social media channels. The song "Space Dust" is available on all music streaming platforms, and the music video can be viewed on YouTube at James Academy.
