It’s been another notable year for the highly talented young artist JAONAAY (Jinjett Wattanasin), who continues to steadily release new work. Most recently, he released the music video “Trippin,” a song from the EP “amor,” inviting Aye 4EVE (Kornisit Laosubinprasert) to star as the female lead. This marks their reunion after previously acting together in the film “The Stone: The Real and The Fake.”
Beyond his music, this year JAONAAY has also stood out as an actor through his role as “Ek” in the film “The Stone: The Real and The Fake,” which earned him the Best Leading Actor award at the 34th Suphanahong Awards. This milestone highlights JAONAAY’s dual talents as both an actor and a musician.
The song “Trippin” is a Modern Lo-fi R&B track that reflects another side of JAONAAY’s musical identity. The song originated from a melody he composed before collaborating with OZEEOOS, a skilled rapper and songwriter, who helped write lyrics expressing the experience of falling for someone despite knowing the relationship shouldn’t happen. The emotions describe being trapped in a recurring infatuation, where attempts to break free only pull one deeper into obsession.
The music video is directed by the talented Rose Phuangsroi Aksornsawang, blending fashion visuals with surreal elements. It conveys the emotions of being lost in passion through moods and symbols set against a mysterious natural backdrop, evoking the sensation of entering an unreal place.
