KHSD THAITAY or Khan Ngern Nueanual (KH) and Day Nemyaw Than (SD) return to stir excitement and shake up the music industry with a new album “Comes And Goes” under their new home, Sony Music Thailand. Recently, they held an event “KHSD THAITAY Comes And Goes Listening Party” on 16 Sep 2023 GMT+7 at THE NORM BANGKOK, inviting friends from the hip-hop community, artists, media, and special guests to experience the full album “Comes And Goes” for the first time.
The launch event featured KHSD THAITAY along with guest artists who contributed to this album. The highlight of the evening was the Full Album Listening Session, where attendees listened together to the new album and discussed the stories, concepts, and details behind each track with KHSD THAITAY. Beyond the full album experience, a special moment called KHSD Bartender Scene saw both artists take on the roles of bartenders, serving special drinks to featured artists, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere that enriched the “Comes And Goes Listening Party” with friendship, music, and a gathering of hip-hop community members.
“Comes And Goes” reflects the current identities of KH and SD, conveying their experiences, thoughts, and perspectives on life as they evolve with age. It preserves the core of their hip-hop: staying true and expressing their authentic selves through music. September is especially meaningful for both, as it is the birth month of KH and SD, making this album launch a celebration of a new chapter in their lives and musical journeys.
A key highlight of the album is the collaboration with artists from multiple generations, including YOUNGOHM, JROC, Mega Perk, Flower.far, BlvckHeart, Sam Sermsartr, Be Peerapat, GUNNER, MIXIE MIXX, Big Calo, Erwin ATLAS, and Justmine JMNK, who add new dimensions and colors to each track, such as “Be,” “Hustle Don’t Stop,” “Comes And Goes,” “Nothing,” “That Night,” “New Beginning,” “Ma Di Kub,” “Down4Me,” and the bonus track “I Love You Thailand.” These collaborations connect KHSD THAITAY’s identities and experiences with artists and sounds from diverse generations.
One of the tracks premiered at the event was “Be feat. JROC, Mega Perk,” the next single set for full release along with its music video on 17 Sep 2023 GMT+7. This song takes listeners back to the 90s–2000s hip-hop era, or Old School Hip-Hop, which KHSD THAITAY uniquely call “True School.”
The title “Be” also connects to the concept of letting go with “Let It Be” and living in the present moment. This track features JROC, a fellow THAITAY member, sharing the vibe and spirit of the hip-hop culture they grew up with, while bridging generations with Mega Perk, a Gen Z rapper who brings fresh energy and perspectives to the song. https://khsdthaitay.sng.to/be
