The music video features a surprise appearance by Liang Long, a veteran figure in the Chinese rock scene, adding a vibrant cross-cultural collaboration.

What sets “sorry not sorry” apart is not just the music itself. Caelan chose to shoot the project beyond the usual pop music video format, filming amid the atmosphere of Beijing’s historic Hutong neighborhood. The narrow alleys and traditional Chinese buildings serve as a backdrop to the energetic rap and Western dance beats, creating a distinctive blend of new pop generation, Beijing street culture, and Chinese rock vibes.
One striking scene shows Caelan and Liang Long spending time together on a rooftop in Beijing, surrounded by heavy beats and dance rhythms. It’s a powerful image of artists from two generations and cultures harmonizing well.
After releasing “sorry not sorry,” Caelan returned to the Hutong area in Beijing to shoot additional content and played the new song for local residents. This moment reflects the project’s spirit well, as the song is presented not only through the artist’s image but also by connecting with the actual places, people, and culture of Beijing.
This work is launched under ORCA (Original Creative Artists), a new artist development and content production label focused on creating opportunities for international artists to work and connect with the growing Asian entertainment market.
