Key figures from the music industry, artists, and partners gathered to celebrate the success of Thai music both domestically and internationally at The Official Thailand Chart Awards Dinner 2026 held recently at Rosewood Hotel, Ploenchit. The event featured a vibrant red carpet atmosphere welcoming a diverse lineup of artists including F.HERO, Tobii, Ek Anupap, PURPEECH, alongside music label executives and a packed audience. Live performances from World Music, Contemporary Soul Jazz, and Experimental Folk bands energized the event throughout.
The event was held alongside the Asia Data Day regional conference to celebrate the growing strength and influence of Thai music at home and abroad. Awards were given in seven categories covering achievements in popularity and revenue-generating streaming numbers from listeners in Thailand and internationally.
Sukkrit Suksakulwat, President of the Thai Entertainment Business Trade Association (IFPI Thailand), said the Official Thailand Chart Awards has quickly become a significant milestone for the Thai music industry, honoring artists and songs that connect most powerfully with audiences. This year’s winners showcase the diversity, creativity, and commercial success of Thai music, spanning from established artists to emerging talents.
“We are pleased to see continued growth of Thai music both domestically and internationally. These awards recognize not only the talent of the artists but also the dedication and collaboration of songwriters, music labels, producers, and industry personnel who help drive Thai artists and music forward,” he added.
Victoria Oakley, CEO of IFPI, stated that The Official Thailand Chart Awards celebrate the remarkable talent, creativity, and commercial achievements of Thai artists. The growing engagement of fans both in Thailand and worldwide demonstrates the strength of the Thai music industry and the appeal of Thai artists in attracting global listeners.
“Today’s winners reflect the diversity and quality of music created in Thailand, and we congratulate everyone on their achievements,” she said.
The list of recipients at The Official Thailand Chart Awards 2026 includes:
• Local Song of the Year 2025: “KULARB” by F.HERO featuring Kantong Thungngoen and SARAN
• Local Artist of the Year 2025: YOUNGOHM
• Thai Export Song Awards, highlighting the growth of Thai music in foreign markets, with two winners: First place - “Bad Girls Like You” by Tobii
Second place - “Khun Sai” by Ek Anupap featuring Noi Chuenyim
• Thai Group Export Song of 2025, for group artists, with two winners:
First place - “Bad Shawty” by PROXIE
Second place - “Take It Off (TAKE IT OFF)” by JASP.ER
• Special Honor Award: PURPEECH for the hit song “Fear (กลัวว่าฉันจะไม่เสียใจ),” which held the No. 1 position for the longest duration of 22 weeks.
F.HERO expressed his honor at receiving the Top Local Song award from IFPI, attributing the achievement also to SARAN, Kantong, Bank Rattawit, and Tan Krisada. “Thank you very much to all the artists who collaborated to create ‘KULARB,’ which became a major hit last year. I feel this song is very special because it blends Isan music with hip-hop, bridging cultural sounds and dialects. The song gained recognition to the extent of charting globally at times, including on YouTube charts, which is very proud and gratifying. We experimented multiple times, but this is our most successful effort,” said the famous rapper about the significant award.
The Official Thailand Chart is part of The Official Southeast Asia Charts project, showcasing the region’s most commercially successful music based on streaming data from major digital music services. Using IFPI’s global chart standards, it provides a reliable indicator of listening habits and artist success. The continued success of Thai artists on domestic and export charts reflects the rising popularity of Thai music and its growing ability to reach and connect with audiences beyond Thailand.
