ROY KIM, also known as Kim Sang Woo, is a South Korean singer-songwriter renowned for his musical talent and unique storytelling through his works. He gained recognition by winning the singing competition Superstar K4 in 2012 before officially debuting in 2013. He has since distinguished himself as a composer, continuously sharing his personal experiences through music. Throughout his career, ROY KIM has released beloved songs such as '봄봄봄 (BOM BOM BOM)', 'Home', '그때 헤어지면 돼 (Only Then)', and '내게 사랑이 뭐냐고 물어본다면 (If You Ask Me What Love Is)', among others that clearly reflect his identity. His charm lies in his warm, distinctive voice that deeply conveys the emotions of each song—whether gentle love songs, expressions of longing, or narratives of life's various moments—each word and tone resonates profoundly with listeners.
Additionally, ROY KIM's live performances are praised for their natural communication and heartfelt sincerity, drawing overwhelming positive responses at every show. This is evidenced by his five consecutive years of sold-out concerts and his upcoming performances at the KSPO DOME in Seoul—a dream stage for many artists and one of South Korea's renowned large concert venues. Initially scheduled for two shows on 21–22 November 2026, strong fan demand led to an added show on 20 November 2026, totaling three performances. This momentum continues with his first Asian tour, '2026-27 ROY KIM LIVE TOUR [R:O:Y],' which will bring his music to fans across Hong Kong on 9 January 2027, Bangkok on 16 January 2027, Taipei on 30 January 2027, and concluding in Tokyo on 6 February 2027.
