It is believed that by now many people must know the beautiful actress Aom Kornnapat. She is the new rising leading actress of Channel 3 who rose to fame from the series “The Secret of Us,” which sparked the popular on-screen couple “Ling-Aom.” They have a large fanbase both in Thailand and internationally, and even caused a near-overflow crowd at the Malin Tower and mall.
Regarding Aom Kornnapat’s background, it is certainly extraordinary. Besides being the heir of renowned actress Koi Narumon Pongsupap, Aom is also the third-generation heir of a well-known frozen food export company that has been in business for decades.
/ Aom Kornnapat Settharatpong. Born on 27 May 2002, she is currently 23 years old, the eldest daughter with one younger brother. Her mother is the well-known actress Koi Narumon Pongsupap, commonly called “Mae Koi.” Her father is Panotpong Settharatpong, also known as Khun Ok, the second-generation heir of Setthachon Company Limited, a frozen food export business known in the food industry for over 30 years. The main products include frozen fish, vegetables, fruits and juices, ready-to-eat frozen meals, and frozen Thai desserts. Major export markets include the United States, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan. Besides exports, they also produce food for famous airlines.
Aom graduated from the Faculty of Economics (International Program), Bachelor of Economics majoring in Entrepreneurship at Srinakharinwirot University, and recently received her degree. During the rehearsal for the graduation ceremony, the venue was nearly packed as over 2,500 fans from Thailand and abroad came to congratulate her, bringing gifts including flowers, cash, diamonds, and gold totaling over 5 million baht. There was even a celebratory parade. Charming moments included Aom and her mother Koi organizing a fan meet-up in the gym to chat and thank fans for their generous gifts and time. Everyone left the event feeling happy and fulfilled.
Aom entered the entertainment industry after being selected to act in the Channel 3 teen series “Hotel Secret Recipe” in 2019. The following year, she signed a contract with Channel 3 as an actress. Her acting work includes the drama “Kep Phaendin,” which is yet to air. In 2021, she starred in the series “From Zero to Hero,” followed by guest roles in prime-time dramas “Proud Mook” and “The Third Eye.”
She then took on full roles in dramas such as “Game Laa Thorachon,” followed by many popular series including “Ai Khoi Hak Chao,” “Under the Sun’s Shadow,” “Matada,” “Khaen,” and “Duangjai Thewaprom: Lorchun.”
Her full breakout came with the series “The Secret of Us,” Channel 3’s first sapphic series, starring alongside Lingling Sirilak Kong. The show generated buzz even before airing and became a huge hit after release, turning the lead duo “Lingling-Aom” into an internationally famous on-screen couple.
Subsequently, the duo starred in another sapphic series, “Only You,” which was equally popular. This further cemented Aom Kornnapat and Lingling Kong’s fame, earning them awards at various events and roles as brand ambassadors for multiple products.
Most recently, Dior appointed both Lingling Kong and Aom Kornnapat as Dior Ambassadors, reinforcing the rising popularity of Thai actors challenging the influence of K-pop idols as top fashion week influencers.
