The flooding situation in Hat Yai Municipality, Songkhla Province, has reached a stage where water surrounds the city. Floodwaters are high across multiple areas, leaving many residents stranded in their homes, dormitories, and tall buildings, unable to leave due to deep water and strong currents, making travel from these risk zones very difficult.
In a show of Thai solidarity, "Pimrypie," a well-known online seller and influencer, posted an image with a message rallying support for flood victims, saying, "My hands tremble, not knowing what to do, but I am doing my utmost." She was contacted by Khun Off Rawiphat, former secretary to Minister Suchart Tanja-ruen. Pimrypie donated 1 million baht to establish a kitchen with Manorah Dakdu Group from Southern Manorah and the Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Hat Yai campus shelter, coordinating with the PSU Hat Yai student council to prepare and distribute food to affected residents in various areas. The PSU Hat Yai shelter has already accommodated nearly 100 flood victims from Hat Yai District and nearby locations, with staff fully attending to everyone amid an ongoing concerning situation. "We will get through this crisis together," she said.
