At the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road, numerous journalists remained stationed, waiting to report whether Nana Raibina, the suspect in a fraud case and violations under the Emergency Decree on Public Loan Fraud, would be granted bail during the detention hearing after investigators from Division 4, Economic Crime Suppression Division, brought her for detention earlier this morning.
According to inquiries with the Criminal Court's administrative staff, no lawyers or relatives of Nana have yet submitted bail guarantees for the detention hearing.
The suspect has the right to request bail from the court until 4:00 p.m. today. If no bail is submitted, the court will approve temporary detention during the trial and transfer her to the Central Women's Correctional Institution this evening.
Subsequently, Nan, Nana Raibina's sister, submitted a cash bail bond of 1 million baht, which is currently under court consideration.
Most recently, the Criminal Court reviewed the case and, considering the risk assessment report, believed the suspect would neither flee nor commit other dangerous acts. The court approved temporary release during the investigation with bail set at 1 million baht and ordered a travel ban outside the kingdom unless authorized by the court. The court also instructed notification to the Immigration Bureau and appointed a counselor from the court's psychosocial counseling clinic to supervise and provide counseling as deemed appropriate.
