“CAT EXPO 12,” the music festival for indie artists combined with a Thai music market of happiness, concluded impressively. It was an unforgettable fun event with a unique atmosphere. Artists and fans gathered both on stage and in the market, where musicians and record labels offered collections of music products, T-shirts, souvenirs, and rare items to support each other. Intimate moments were shared in a once-in-a-lifetime experience, with artists warmly greeting old and new friends alike.
On 29-30 November at Siam Park City, CAT EXPO took place in a refreshed atmosphere. Each stage was located within the amusement park and a miniature city that offered enjoyable photo opportunities. The weather was perfect—cool and comfortable—making it the most chill event in the festival's history. Regular attendees were pleasantly surprised, while first-timers were impressed at first sight.
Six intense stages named “Hot,” “Desert,” “Afternoon Breeze,” “Melting,” “Copper Pan,” and “Old Ember” featured over a hundred diverse artists from various genres and generations delivering nonstop fun. Each artist curated special live sets, including many songs never performed elsewhere. Fans sang along loudly to their favorite hits. Performance styles varied widely, offering heartfelt moments. Jeff Satur and Non Thanon joined to chat with fans on stage, while Mamio and Silvy gave powerful, delightful performances. Taris, known as Nong Stang, and the group No One Else added a cute touch to love songs. Indie band Sirimongkol from Chiang Mai thrilled audiences by collaborating with Nop, a deep-guitarist from the senior post-rock band Inspire.
The female acts were equally powerful, including Violet Watier, Boki Lion, Pixie from BNK48, with senior artists Singto Numchok, Scrubb, Proud, The Parkinson, Slur, and Yokee Playboy delivering their best. Teen favorites Pun, Dice, and Perses gave complete, impressive shows that thrilled fans. Rock enthusiasts were especially satisfied, with Bomb At Track on the Copper Pan stage and other bands on the Hot stage delivering full metal performances. First-time appearances featured metal acts like Sleeping Sheep, Defying Decay, and TORRAYOT, matching the stages’ fiery reputations over both days.
International bands also joined the fun, bringing pop from U&PIA (Japan), rock from KROI (Japan), indie from THE BOWLS (Korea), HATHAW9Y (Korea), and FOOL AND IDIOT (Taiwan), adding vibrant energy to the stages and artist booths. Thailand’s indie scene continued its tradition of excellence in music and merchandise at the music market. Artists including Phum Viphurit, Desktop Error, Moving and Cut, Pae Arak, Dept, and Safe Planet gave full performances both on stage and in the market. The event’s distinctive atmosphere was enhanced this year by amusement rides within the park, allowing attendees to enjoy concerts while playing. Many artists also joined in the rides’ fun.
Beyond everyone’s enjoyment, CAT EXPO also extended support to southern flood victims by inviting attendees to participate at the Cat Radio booth, raising funds donated to the Mirror Foundation. The event received strong cooperation from artists, audiences, and sponsors, collecting a total of 163,963 baht. This music festival, open to all genres and full of fun, will continue through Cat Radio’s ongoing events. Next year’s “Cat Secondhand” event is scheduled for 17-18 January 2026, where artists will offer useful items and great music. New activities and fresh music will be continuously served daily at www.thisiscat.com and the Cat Radio app.
