Bum Panadda Shares Incident of Clearing Trash in Hat Yai but Faces Villagers Anger Over Access Difficulties

Fully committed to helping communities in distress, Bum Panadda and the Good Deeds Foundation, along with several agencies, joined forces to assist recovery after severe flooding in Hat Yai, sharing photos showing before and after clearing trash from an alley. However, some villagers were displeased that the trash trucks blocked the road while loading garbage for disposal. Bum Panadda posted on her Facebook page, Dr. Panadda Wongpudi, stating that

“Yesterday, villagers complained loudly and pointed fingers at the six-wheel truck because the agency closed the road to clear trash. The villagers were unhappy and wanted to get into their homes, revving engines, honking continuously, and shouting insults. We ask for understanding that there may be some inconvenience during our work. We apologize.”

She shared photos of the work being done and added, “This is how the work goes. Sorry for the difficulty entering and exiting homes.”

Many followers commented in large numbers, mostly expressing that the trucks should back off, noting that such incidents diminish motivation to work. Comments included: Every community has selfish people, but this work is for the common good; without some sacrifice, success isn’t possible. I was born and raised here and honestly admit the local attitude is like this, but it can be bought with money. When receiving help from others, people should realize it’s to improve their surroundings. Let the local municipality handle it; plenty of help has been given already. Encountering selfish locals, better to help border areas where it’s more beneficial. Let them do it themselves... pity the volunteers, etc.
