There have been so many stories for Thai people, including the talented artist Keng Tachaya who nearly didn’t survive this year. He releases a new indie Isan-style single called "This Year Was Tough," reviewing the year’s events in a way that deeply touches many Thais. It serves as a year-end gift for fans. Keng revealed that
"This year was really tough." For me, it was heavy indeed, from suddenly falling ill and being rushed to the hospital, facing life-or-death moments, the drama over the egg controversy, floods in Ayutthaya, Hat Yai, Satun, and Songkhla—with my home in Songkhla heavily flooded—and the great losses felt across the whole Thai nation. Not to mention various other dramas. Many people have faced their own tough challenges in different ways. So, I made this song to share these stories, to encourage everyone, and as a New Year’s gift. No matter how hard this year was, we made it through. For next year and the new sky, I hope everyone’s life will be better than this year."
