It immediately became a controversy after Namcha Cheeranat posted a clip showing her son Nong Namthale going out to eat, but due to the child's mischievousness, the dining table became completely messy—vegetables scattered, sauce spilled, some condiments on the table were poured out until empty, and a dinosaur toy was mixed with the food.
Many viewers commented heavily on the clip, such as “Did you really let him play with the food like that? Pouring out the entire sauce bottle like that?”, “Why do you think this is normal? I'm confused or maybe I'm overthinking,” “Didn't you warn or tell your child?”, “This is food waste. Cleaning and compensating is one thing, but won't this make the child develop a habit of not valuing food?”, “My child isn't cute to everyone, that phrase really applies,” “So confused. Proudly filming the messy, naughty child. If it were dirt or mud, no one would say anything. But this is food. He should have been taught immediately. The child didn’t even realize what he did wrong after finishing the sauce bottle, haha,” “I was shocked at the pouring of the sauce. I always teach my child to pour a little at a time, just enough, then pour more if needed, to respect the restaurant,” “Did you really let him play with food like this? I feel sorry for the staff,” and so on.
Recently, Namcha responded in the comments, saying, “Thank you for all the comments. That day, my son was indeed overly playful. I cleaned up and compensated the restaurant properly. I have talked to my son about what is acceptable and what is not in restaurants. Thank you for caring and still showing affection for our little boy. He will gradually learn with me.”
Then, Namcha posted another statement explaining the incident from the video, saying
“I would like to clarify the incident from the latest video clip, where my son caused the dining table to be disorderly in the restaurant. I sincerely apologize to the restaurant and all followers here.
The clip was part of filming content based on a client's brief, with all filming and control managed by the production team to get the desired footage.
The restaurant was officially informed and gave permission before filming. After finishing, I cleaned the area and appropriately compensated the restaurant.
However, I respectfully accept all feedback and take this incident as an important lesson to improve and present content more carefully and appropriately in the future.
I have talked further with my son about public manners and will take responsibility to ensure more careful management in all future work processes.
Nevertheless, I ask for cooperation in avoiding language that insults or harms my child or family. If there are messages violating personal rights or defamation, I will consider legal action to protect my family’s rights. Thank you all for your concern and advice. Namcha Cheeranat.”
