The beauty queen who carried the Cambodia flag was Vanessa Veng, Miss Intercontinental Thailand 2025. She appeared in a sweet and elegant traditional Thai dress. Vanessa posted on her social media about participating in this SEA Games opening ceremony, saying
“As someone performing duties in this ceremony, I intended to do everything with the utmost professionalism. Regardless of external circumstances, my role was to ensure the event proceeded gracefully and to equally honor all participating countries, because in sports, every athlete deserves encouragement without discrimination by nationality or opinion.
And although I perform on an international stage, when I step off, I am always Thai. My love, loyalty, and connection to Thailand are always in my heart and have never diminished even once.
