Foam Benjamas has become another rising TikTok star. Foam Benjamas the wife of the sweet-faced leading actor, James Jirayu Tangtrakulsuk, who has recently been active in making vlog clips and live streaming casual chats with social media fans, gaining a large number of followers. Many are impressed by her charming and approachable personality.
However, recently during a usual live stream chatting with fans, a minor controversy arose when a netizen commented, “Why do you speak so curtly? There's almost no trailing tone.” Foam didn't ignore this and replied candidly, “I don't know either. Maybe I grew up this way. Whether it's curt or not, I don't know, but it doesn't cause trouble for anyone.”
Fans came out in full support of Foam, especially those from Northern Thailand who explained that what some perceive as curt speech is actually a normal regional trait, particularly in Lampang and Phrae provinces. They speak quickly and concisely in a style called “Uu Kom,” which sounds harsh but is genuinely kind and not intended to be rude.
