Luea Fue Mokjak Shocked by Nephews Death in Thai-Cambodian Clashes, Hopes It Ends with Their Generation

Luea Fue Mokjak The former comedian and well-known YouTuber shared a sorrowful video speaking about something he wished never happened but ultimately did: the seventh soldier killed in the Thai-Cambodian clashes at the Bueng Takuan–Ban Khlong Phaeng battlefield on 10 December 2025 was his own nephew.

Luea Fue posted a tribute photo of his nephew "Pluem Thanarat Janprad," who died in battle, writing, "And so, the seventh casualty is my own nephew. Salute to the brave soldier, 'Pluem Thanarat Janprad.' He served as a soldier for over a year without returning home. Grandpa Vik and Aunt Kaew waited for him to come back. Pluem fulfilled his duty as a man and soldier with honor and dignity, giving his all until death. All relatives are deeply saddened by his passing and proud of his courage and sacrifice for the country. May Pluem journey to a better afterlife, brave soldier hero 'Pluem Thanarat Janprad.'"

Additionally, Luea Fue recorded a clip paying tribute to the brave soldiers, saying, "I salute all the brave soldiers who have served and are currently fighting. For those who have died, I salute every one of them. Now, the seventh casualty is my own nephew, Pluem Thanarat Janprad, from Nong Ya Kaeo village, who died on 10 December. He was hit by gunfire and passed away. His body has been returned to his hometown in Nong Khai Province."

He added, "I want to tell many of the elders now, I can only post to honor the first, second, third, and fourth brave soldiers. I never thought it would be my nephew who becomes the seventh. What I want to say to the elders is to let this end with my nephew's generation. Don't let it reach my children's generation. I understand the meaning of a hero—if anyone had a choice, no one wants to die, whether soldier or civilian. If the Cambodians are still so bold, I believe in the strength of the Thai military. Let's end it with our generation."

"So the children can tell the next generation that during the time of fighting the Cambodians, this prime minister and that general were the ones who defeated them. Let the kids remember only the good things, not that we lost to the Cambodians. Let it end with my nephew's generation, not fall to my children's generation. My children will be drafted soon. I urge the elders once again. I salute my nephew Pluem, who did good deeds, made his family proud, and I am sad for his passing. I am proud of Pluem as a true man and brave soldier."
