Poo Mantana Questions Why She Should Show Mercy to Lilly Nguyen Amid Courtroom Insults

Recently Poo Mantana arrived at the Criminal Court along with lawyer Anantarak Petchin to attend a defamation lawsuit hearing against Lilly Nguyen and lawyer Kung. Poo gave a statement to the media, saying she has been sued in 19 cases in total. She is suing Lilly Nguyen and lawyer Kung because she recently saw a clip of them appearing on a TV show last year, where they publicly demanded debt repayment and shamed her on air, causing her significant harm.

When asked if Lilly Nguyen asked Poo Mantana for mercy and to withdraw the lawsuit, Poo quickly responded, “Mercy for what? They still insult me in court.” She added, “You should ask them why they hate me so much to treat me this way.”

Are you the plaintiff suing Lilly Nguyen and lawyer Kung?

Poo: "Yes, for defamation through advertising."

Which case do they claim is defamation?

Poo: "Actually, there are several cases."

Lawyer Anantarak: "It’s quite risky, but it involved a popular TV show called Clear Chud Chud and a TikTok channel of one media outlet. They posted statements damaging to Poo, publicly demanding debt repayment and shaming her for having many debts, which is untrue. The incident happened in 2024, but we only saw the clip in September 2025. We also sued the lawyer because his actions were not in line with professional duties; he impersonated a creditor himself. Despite being in the same profession, I had to sue him."

Why do you say it was dishonest?

Poo: "Let the lawyer explain to avoid more cases; they have sued me many times."

Lawyer Anantarak: "They claimed many debts existed, but Poo only has two creditors. They publicly shamed her with false claims of many creditors and debts worth tens of millions. In court, we are fighting over what debts actually exist. The conclusion is Poo has no debts with anyone."

How much debt does Poo have?

Poo: "According to their claims, there are two creditors: Lookmee and a person named Aom. Aom transferred 1.4 million baht to me, and I transferred back 2.3 million baht, exceeding by nearly 900,000 baht. But that’s okay; we respect the court’s decision. The lawyer will file an appeal."

What about Lilly Nguyen’s claim that Poo owes her?

Poo: "I’d rather not discuss that yet; it might lead to more cases. Lilly involved her friends, causing me to owe them."

You are suing Lilly Nguyen and lawyer Kung because you only just saw the clip after more than a year. People might wonder why you waited so long to sue.

Poo: "Everyone knows they appeared on many media outlets and shows. I couldn’t watch anymore. Seeing the falsehoods caused me stress leading to hospitalizations."

Lawyer Anantarak: "This is a legal matter with intense cross-examination about why the evidence appeared late. Khun Hans can testify that doctors ordered Poo not to use social media last year due to high suicide risk. We prefer to fight over medical certificates rather than death certificates."

What is your stance?

Poo: "I am defending my legal rights. They showed a police report with my name, which is not allowed by law. Public debt collection is also prohibited and is a criminal matter."

Lawyer Anantarak: "This is a criminal case, and we will follow up with civil lawsuits. All damages will be assessed based on Poo’s reputation."

What are the 20 cases you are being sued in?

Poo: "They include Num Kanchai, debtor Rasmee, Aom, lawyer Kaew, and another person—five people in total who sued me in nearly 20 cases at police stations and courts over one debt matter involving Lookmee’s 2 million baht claim, while my amount is about 1.4 to 1.5 million baht. They sued multiple times over the same issue. Currently, I have about 19 cases; lawyer Anantarak manages nine, mostly criminal cases with some academics overseeing others. No civil cases yet."

How stressed are you?

Poo: "I am stressed. I’ve never had legal issues before. After the rumors about a 'Miss Pla' with a businessman-politician husband spread, my businesses collapsed. Bank loans for my farm were delayed. I put my land title as collateral, but it was fraudulently used in legal documents. There’s a lawsuit seeking 50 million baht in damages, with some defendants already fled. I have 19 cases, which is very stressful. Two years ago, I was acting, taking care of my kids, their soccer, music, and singing. Now, I do nothing but attend court every day."

How confident are you in winning the 19 cases?

Poo: "I am using my legal rights. They both know the facts and told the media it was a loan, not an investment. The documents I submitted to court are still limited. I have appeals and can continue to fight, as no final verdict has been issued."

Lawyer Anantarak: "The lawsuit today is not to harass but to exercise legal rights."

Did Lilly Nguyen ask to withdraw the case?

Poo: "Mercy for what? They still insult me in court. We don’t talk; they just come to cause trouble even in the courtroom."

Lawyer Anantarak: "No, during witness questioning, they exchanged looks, which is normal, but the court stopped it."

Was there any mediation?

Lawyer Anantarak: "Mediation depends on the defendant’s willingness to negotiate. We sent medical certificates to show our damages. The debt is just over 4 million baht, which isn’t much, but the damages caused are significant."

Lilly wanted to know if Poo hates her?

Lawyer Anantarak: "I heard it; she asked this in the courtroom, wanting to know why Poo hates her so much."

Poo: "She asked why I hate her. Ask her what she hates about me to treat me this way."

Lilly wonders if Poo doesn’t want her to stay in Thailand?

Lawyer Anantarak: "That is a matter for later, right, Poo?"

Poo: "Yes, that’s a future matter."

Lawyer Anantarak: "Today we are seeing how she will act. Since no positive negotiations occurred, we will proceed with plans to handle all parties involved. It may not end in court."

You said you haven’t acted in dramas; do you miss performing?

Poo: "I do miss it. Since late 2023 when they started shaming me, I haven’t acted or worked on dramas. But ironically, after shaming me, they all suddenly got jobs and attention."

There were rumors you divorced Khun Hans?

Poo: "I prefer not to discuss it as it has serious impacts."

Is it a real divorce or a business separation?

Poo: "I don’t want to talk about it now. I’ll speak when it’s appropriate. It affects the family business and my children, so I want to avoid causing harm."
