The love life of the female singer continues to attract significant attention. Lam Yai Hai Thongkham Recently, during her birthday, Lam Yai and her dance team flew to Japan for a birthday celebration and a year-end trip with the team. This trip included Boss Aew Wan, a male dancer who had previously been linked with Lam Yai, which sparked speculation about whether they had rekindled their relationship. Lam Yai addressed this by saying
“For my birthday this year, I didn’t hold a party but planned a trip instead.”
“Our team usually celebrates every year with a dinner. We thought about where and what theme to have, but since we’ve eaten out every year, we decided to try traveling abroad. P’ Anne suggested Japan, so we agreed to skip the dinner and go to Japan this year.”
“Did you bring a large group?”
“The whole band went, except for some musicians who had other commitments and couldn’t join. The dancers all went, and the Hai Thongkham team as well.”
“Was this a gift to yourself after a hard year of work?”
“Yes. I talked with the team about wanting to go to Japan because when we tour abroad, we usually go to other countries but I had never been to Japan. I wanted to experience it and take the chance to relax. We stayed about six days and had fun. Our plan was to visit Disneyland.”
“People saw Boss with you on this trip?”
“Yes, he went along because some team members were working with him. The company discussed who wanted to go and who didn’t, and he wanted to come, so that was it.”
“Were you worried people would judge when photos came out?”
“Not really, because the photos came from our own team (laughs). We weren’t concerned; it’s normal.”
“There are people quietly rooting for your relationship status?”
“Yes, I see that. But right now it’s casual; we don’t have a formal status. He’s close with the team—JR, Mint, the dancers, and everyone in the band. He has a group of friends now, and it’s just our close-knit group. He lives in Pattaya but is now based in Bangkok, so it’s just our group that still hangs out together.”
“Teacher Prajakchai once said he doesn’t forbid anything but doesn’t want work to suffer?”
“I heard that in an interview (the boss is supportive?) I’m usually fine (smiles).”
“Your work schedule is very tight. Do you face overlapping gigs or cancellations? Some days you do 4-5 jobs; how do you manage?”
“There’s a backstage team helping coordinate the schedule. I just follow the plan they arrange.”
“Can your body handle it?”
“Lately my voice is a bit hoarse because I have morning and late-night jobs and then another morning job. It’s not every day, though. I manage by making sure to get 8-9 hours of sleep when I can, often napping on the bus whenever possible.”
“Will you work during the New Year?”
“I’ll be in Korat for the countdown on December 31.”
“What are your plans for next year? Do you want to ask the teacher to reduce your workload?”
“I haven’t talked to the teacher about that because I feel I’m still able and enjoy working. I prefer to work a lot and can handle it. I feel happy working because when jobs were postponed recently, I felt lonely, like something was missing in my life.”
“Any message for your fans for the New Year?”
“Happy New Year in advance to all my fans. I wish everyone good health, safe travels, and a wonderful year ahead. Happy New Year to all!”
