The talented actress has officially stepped through the wedding door. Mind Lapaslalan Jiravesuntornkul, and businessman Pie Sunit Scott, heir of the Pirompakdee family, recently held their wedding celebration at the Naphalai Room, 1st floor, Dusit Thani Hotel. They chose a music festival theme inspired by their mutual love of music.
“Today I’m very excited,” Pie said. “At first, I thought we had plenty of time to prepare, but suddenly the day arrived. The last week was quite hectic.” Mind added, “We started preparing late last year and thought it would be fine since we had a year. But suddenly everything came together right up to the last second. It’s exciting but fun. The event is quite large in scale, so there’s a bit of worry. We’ll have to wait and see the feedback.”
Regarding the wedding theme as a music festival, Pie said they both love concerts and music, so they wanted the wedding to fully represent themselves. Mind explained that many artists from Muzik Move, whom they already knew, participated. Also, Pok (Passarakorn Jirathiwat) is a familiar friend they wanted involved. It was a gathering of loved ones to share the fun.
“Life after becoming husband and wife is pretty much the same,” they said. Asked if it’s different from being just a couple, they replied it’s not much different and expressed happiness to have reached this day together.
Their love story began because of Marina (Sadanun Balenciaga), Markie’s younger sister, who matched them. At that time, Marina and Pie were friends, and seeing their lifestyles matched, she set them up. Pie said they didn’t have an instant spark but were more like friends at first, playing music, attending concerts, and traveling together, gradually realizing they worked well.
When asked how Mind won his heart, Pie said she listens well to music, is adventurous, and when going to concerts he walks a lot, yet she never complains and follows everywhere. She has a kind heart, good personality, and takes good care of him, so he felt she was the right one.
Mind said she’s always liked mixed-heritage partners. She got to know him gradually. He’s lovely and consistent—same from day one until now, only improving. If something bothers her, she tells him directly, and he adjusts. Seeing his efforts to grow for her impressed her.
They have been together for 8 years, and their 9th anniversary is coming in February. When he proposed, they had been dating for 7 years, breaking the unlucky number superstition with the proposal. Pie said the 8 years of love were very fun, doing many things together and seeing bands they longed to see. It’s been a joyful journey filled with friends. Mind said sharing many activities made her see him as friend, lover, brother, and family—everything—so she wants to spend the rest of her life with him.
Their connection started with their first conversation—Mind asked what bands he liked and what music genres he listened to. On their first date, he was quiet, and she wasn’t sure how to start, so she asked this basic question, which she often asks others.
Regarding future plans, Mind said she wants to have children next year. They’ve traveled a lot together over the 8 years and are ready for the next step. When asked how many children, Pie said they’ll see. When asked about twins, Mind joked it might be exhausting, citing examples of Pok and Kee’s fun but busy life with twins.
Pie said he originally planned to marry around 35-36 years old but hadn’t told her. Mind said she had her own plan to marry at 30 and have children by 32, which she felt was perfect. Since Pie is five years older, their plans aligned well. Pie added jokingly that he’s lucky to have found the right person.
As husband and wife, Mind said she’s already taking care of him by making coffee every morning and preparing iced green tea for him to take to work, even on mornings when she doesn’t have work but he does. Pie said he’s very impressed; she makes delicious coffee and tea.
About cooking, Mind said she grew up in a Chinese family and learned some traditional cooking skills for offerings. But Pie is the main cook and very skilled, having studied as a chef. She joked, “So you’ll cook, and I’ll wait to eat,” though she plans to try cooking as well. She’s not good at Western food, having only made Thai and Chinese dishes, while he excels at Western cuisine.
Mind said she still doesn’t dare to call him “husband” yet. When he introduces her to friends as his wife, she still feels shy. Pie said it’s funny and ticklish to say. Mind said she’s not used to it yet but expects she will be soon.
About today’s music festival-themed event, Mind said it was exactly what she wanted. They initially planned for 10 artists, but it grew to 12-14. They managed the schedule carefully and were fortunate to have excellent planners and organizers who made everything run smoothly.
When asked about promises, Pie said there really aren’t any. He is straightforward, trustworthy, and there’s no need for anything more. Mind felt that living together as they have already proved many things, making promises unnecessary. Pie added, “Live comfortably; don’t live with too much fuss.”
Regarding Pie’s charming side, Mind said he can be affectionate sometimes. He’s the perfect man for her, with sweet and cool sides, capable and smart with lots of knowledge. Being with him makes her feel smarter because he likes to take her to museums and teach her about places during trips. He tells her to stop playing on her phone and pay attention to the surroundings, wanting them to fully absorb and share those moments together.
For Mind’s endearing qualities, Pie said she is very talented, can sing, is funny and cute, and an excellent dog caretaker. Not everyone can train a dog well, but she can, so he believes she can also teach children.
Their honeymoon plan is to go to Alaska because Mind has never been there, but Pie has and loves it. He said it’s a natural place and they both like bears and want to see them. Mind said he enjoys joyfully exploring abroad, likes zoos and cute animals, and takes her to experience nature, not just music festivals. They feel they should have such nature trips once a year. They recently went to Tanzania and enjoyed being close to nature.
Regarding their entertainment careers, Mind confirmed she will continue working as much as she can and won’t disappear from the industry. She’ll still be available for work, even while pregnant. Mind loves working and dislikes idleness. Pie agreed, saying it’s good she has something to do, and seeing her work brings joy.
Asked if Pie might enter the entertainment industry, he said seeing the media cameras earlier startled him because he’s not comfortable in front of them. He can play music since it doesn’t require talking, but he’s shy about speaking. Having appeared on the show “3 Zaap,” he hasn’t even watched himself yet. Mind added she watches TV while eating but avoids looking at the screen because she’s embarrassed.
In closing, Mind told Pie, “I want to thank you for making me a better person. Thank you for… ” (her voice trembled before she laughed) “I have such a happy and fun life, partly because of you. Thank you for opening up a world I’d never known. Thank you for helping me become smarter, more responsible, more mindful, and thoughtful. Thank you for always being my grounding presence. I never thought I’d want to go to temples or chant evening prayers, but thanks to you, I now want to do these every night.”
Pie said to Mind, “Thank you for being kind-hearted and generous. You can be a little stubborn but still listen and try to adjust for me. You don’t hold grudges and create a good atmosphere for us. Wherever we go, we’re happy, never quarrel, and just enjoy ourselves. I believe our time is short in this life, so I want to find someone I can be happy with, share life with, be friends with, and who is good. Thank you for loving me.”
