After the veteran male actor Ton Jakkrich Amornrat aged 56, was admitted to the hospital from late October to early November 2025 after experiencing severe abdominal pain. Doctors diagnosed him with an inflamed gallbladder with gallstones. He had previously mentioned gallbladder issues similar to Khun Kanchai Kamnerdploy but with different details. The CT scan results indicated that if surgery to remove the gallbladder was necessary, it would have to be done, as previously reported.
Recently, Ton Jakkrich went live on TikTok to update fans that he has had his inflamed gallbladder removed. He explained, “The gallbladder was inflamed, so I underwent open abdominal surgery because laparoscopic surgery wasn’t possible due to the gallbladder’s condition—it was too damaged to be operated on with laparoscopy, so we had to switch to open surgery.”
He then showed half of the surgical incision, noting that the long scar was a different case than Khun Kanchai’s. He also thanked everyone for the gifts and support sent during the live stream. At times, he showed pain from the incision and said that using abdominal muscles sometimes caused sharp pain.
Ton added that once gallstones cause inflammation, antibiotics can ease the pain and inflammation, but doctors say there is a 30% chance of recurrence if the gallbladder remains. “If you don’t remove the gallbladder like I did, you might face this again in your lifetime. If you keep it, it will come back.”
He also said, “I haven’t told the full story yet. It’s such a personal experience, even the doctors didn’t know what was wrong at first. There’s a lot to share.” Regarding questions about quitting acting, Ton clarified that he hasn’t stopped. Before falling ill, he had finished filming two dramas that will air next year.
Ton further stated that now the gallbladder has been removed, he will focus on recovery. “During the past month dealing with this, I’ve learned a lot. That’s life.”
