Bringing a parade of famous films mashed up in wild parody! “Ther Teen Studio” recently released the full trailer for the movie “Scare Ruaw Movie: Parody of Famous and Spoofed Movies,” a comedy, parody, and horror film directed by Jong Banjong Sinthanamongkolkul under the supervision of Kui Taweewat Wanta, CEO of Ther Teen Studio Co., Ltd., who also serves as the film’s producer. The movie stars Job Thatchapon Kuangwongbandit and Yiwa Priyakan Jaikantha, alongside the legendary villain actress Kik Suwajanee Panichseewa making her lead film comeback after 18 years. Also featured are Praewa-Nichapat Chatchaipolrat, Poo Yasaka Chaisorn, Fangko Chatkamon Sukkasem, and Panda-Jidapa Chaemchoi, who join the adventure with the wild spoof of five stories: Lan Ma, Thi Yod, Wiman Nam, Wai Num 2544, and 4 King 2.
“Scare Ruaw Movie: Parody of Famous and Spoofed Movies” tells the story of 'Arm' (Job Thatchapon), a wild young man and beloved grandson of 'Ama' (Kik Suwajanee), who stands to inherit a durian orchard. However, the deed's condition states that whoever signs first will own the orchard. The situation isn't as simple as it seems, as multiple parties desire the orchard, including a haunted gang of orchard ghosts led by the eerie 'Blackhearted Ghost,' whose chilling yet off-key wails create chaos. This leads 'Lan Ma' to face outrageous events, resulting in Arm being imprisoned. The story also follows 'Wai Num,' living in Klong Tuy village, famous for the legendary phrase “Do you want iron... or string?” who has conflicts with the neighboring Ton family. Amid despair, 'Mui' (Yiwa Priyakan), a close friend from the friend zone, appears to help break Arm out of jail and reveals, “Someone is eyeing Ama’s durian orchard!” The duo seeks help from the 'Y Family' to venture into the dense Khomot forest, braving chaos to find the deed and survive encounters with 'Blackhearted Ghost' and the crazed gang from all directions.
Director Jong Banjong said, “Previously, I had another film project to direct for Ther Teen Studio. Then, by chance, Mr. Kui Taweewat gave me the opportunity to work on 'Scare Ruaw Movie: Parody of Famous and Spoofed Movies.' Although I wasn’t involved from the start, I didn't refuse. This film already had a strong concept, so I had to understand the original script draft. We spent nearly three months developing the script. When asked if I inquired why Mr. Kui trusted me with this film, I didn’t ask, but personally, I think it was about timing. He probably wanted me to try this project. As for my confidence, I feel comfortable since I’ve done two films with different styles: “Wo, the Crazy Dog” and “University Horror.” I’m confident in both comedy and horror. At the same time, I recently worked a lot in the TV drama and series industry, so the film world has changed quite a bit. We had to reflect on whether our style of humor fits current tastes and work with the team to decide the direction and timing for delivering the jokes.”
Kik Suwajanee said, “People usually see me dressed up and made up beautifully, but I decided to take this role because it’s challenging. I like playing something real without much makeup. People often see me looking glamorous, but here I play 'Ama,' a role very different from myself. I’ve never played anything like this before, so I wanted to try it. I also wanted to work with director Jong Banjong because I heard he is very patient.”
