After Tero Radio posted an official letter announcing the cessation of operations by the end of 2025, after bringing joy and entertainment for over 35 years. The company made every effort to face various challenges, as changing media consumption behaviors made these challenges difficult to overcome. This news deeply saddened and disappointed radio show fans.
Former singer and female DJ Aon Lakana Huangmanirungroj one of the DJs from EAZY FM 102.5, a Tero Radio station, posted a farewell after serving as a DJ for more than 18 years. She shared a photo from her DJ days along with a heartfelt message: “18 years of happiness every time I worked, and this year is truly the last.”
Being a DJ that everyone says spans four generations must be true, as I've moved through four stations: Virgin Soft Pond-Aon, Virgin Star Aon-Off, Virgin Hitz Pond-Aon-Oui, and ending at EazyFm (Aon-Jae, Aon-Joy-Aon See), concluding with the closure of the radio company.
Am I shocked? Not really. I even understand the situation because everything I've seen and known is changing; the world is spinning very fast. But I feel more sadness and regret because this place was a comfort, familiarity, and the staff here—almost everyone—is very kind. Team meetings felt like fun gatherings, like family reunions rather than work.
Not only is the team lovely, but the listeners are also very kind, always caring, asking, and following closely.
Next year, waking up early without going to do the show will probably feel very lonely because I've done this for a full 18 years, enjoying the morning time sending out my voice—sometimes hoarse, sometimes not—laughing wildly, and especially loving teasing the listeners.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me to be part of such a great organization and brought me so much happiness from that day until today. Thanks to the Virgin family for the ongoing friendship. Thank you to all the supporters over these 18 years—from the first time opening the mic and crying, thinking I wasn't good enough, to today opening the mic while sipping hot water because of losing my voice. I will always miss everyone. Love you all.
Thank you.
