After Tero Radio officially announced it would cease operations by the end of 2025, having brought joy and entertainment for over 35 years. The company made every effort to face the challenges arising from changing media consumption trends, but these challenges proved insurmountable. This news has deeply saddened and shocked many radio show fans.
Meanwhile, Bo Suratanavee Suviporn also known as Bo TK, one of the DJs at HITZ, a Tero Radio station, posted a farewell message to her DJ career there. She shared a photo holding a HITZ Thailand sign along with a profile picture from her DJ days, writing: “I remember wanting to be a DJ because the equipment looked fun to use. I auditioned for a while and became a DJ. Back then, it was the era of MDs and CDs—the cassette era was over. We switched CDs, which was chaotic but fun. Soon, the system changed to software playing music files from folders. I tried new things, even though I wasn't good with computers, but it wasn’t too difficult.
Starting at A-Time and moving to Tero Radio, this year marks my farewell as a DJ. On my last day, I went live with the red mic on. So many memories in the broadcast room. I recall the great opportunities and meeting lovely colleagues. Some moved on earlier, but we still remember each other. There are meetings and farewells, beginnings and ends. Every party must end. I’m proud to have been an employee here. During my final broadcast, tears welled up. It’s an emotional bond. Thank you for all the support. Officially saying goodbye to HITZ. #TwentyYearsAsDJ #LastGenerationOfTeroRadio #Closure #NewThingsAreNeverTooHard”
Fans and entertainment figures sent supportive messages such as: “Love DJ Bo, hardworking and prepared, quality every time on air,” “DJ.BO, number one in our hearts, always looking out for us,” “Big sister Bo, I've listened since 10 HITZ in a row weekend, HITZ Happening, HITZ Thailand Chart Show and even before those—love you,” “During COVID, I often tuned in just to hear her voice and loved it,” and “She’s gone, I always listened to her voice,” among others.
