Chap Kans Film Debut! In Pob Did Dib Guaranteed to be Hilarious, Premiering 31 December

The film "Pob Did Dib," produced by the new but experienced Pichet Productions and directed by Pa Ko–Pichet Sriracha, is set to premiere simultaneously in cinemas across Thailand and Laos on 31 December. The production goes all out in every aspect. Besides featuring Noi Nattanee, the legendary queen of Thailand's Pob ghost stories, returning as Grandma Pob after 14 years, it also stars new talents Chap Warakorn and Kan Natcha Ratthachayangkhannon, both making their film debuts. The movie invites fans to enjoy the full experience of fun and to explore the Pob ghost legend together during the long New Year holiday.

Kan revealed, “This role was a big acting challenge for me. I play 'Aom,' a YouTuber working for 'P’ Pong' (Kapon Thongplub), sent to film a ghost show in the Pob ghost village. There, Aom meets the real 'Grandma Pob,' played by 'Mae Noi.' Aom was born in the Pob village but had to move away for some reason and never returned until a crisis hits the YouTube channel, forcing a search for new content to regain ratings. This sets off the whole story. Besides the special occasion of bringing back Pob after 14 years, the film also involves a search for the Pob heir. Who that will be is a mystery viewers must discover in theaters. The trailer hints at much more, possibly not the person fans expect. Another key climax is the incorporation of the legend of the 'Monk Carrying a Dog and a Nun Carrying a Cat.' It’s a full mix of horror, comedy, drama, action, and family feeling. I hope everyone will follow and enjoy it a lot.”

Chap said, “I was very happy when Pa Ko contacted me to act in this film because it’s about 'Pob Yip,' which I’ve watched since I was a child. Being part of the Pob universe is very exciting, and it’s my first film ever, so I had to give it my all and prepare thoroughly. Besides acting alongside 'Mae Noi,' a legend, there are many veteran comedians who returned to acting after a long break just for this film. We had nonstop jokes, often improvised, and at first, I couldn’t keep up (laughs), but my seniors taught me the timing, making filming fun both on and off camera. We filmed at a real abandoned house, with night scenes shot at night. Everyone, cast and crew, was very dedicated. I want all movie fans to join us in discovering the humor and fun of 'Pob Did Dib' and find out what my YouTuber gang and Kan’s character encounter on their journey. The film premieres on 31 December in all cinemas across Thailand and Laos.”
