Pond Krisada, Be On Cloud Executive, Shares Photographer Behavior at Wat Arun: Please Adjust Your Attitude

This made Pond Krisada Witthayakhajondej the executive and creative producer at entertainment company Be On Cloud post a message on X after visiting Wat Arun and encountering the behavior of a photographer there, which he described as follows:

"Went to #WatArun yesterday. There were many tourists, which was proud to see. Many people rented traditional Thai costumes and looked great. But then I encountered a 'local photographer, probably linked to the Thai costume rental,' who kept chasing other tourists out of the frame to take photos for his paying clients. He didn’t just do it once but repeatedly. Foreigners were confused and visibly displeased.

I was calmly enjoying the beautiful view and tried not to react, but I couldn’t stand it and went to warn him. He replied, 'Others have to wait too.' Then he kept shooting, seemingly aiming for perfect photos just for himself. With millions of people around, if this continues, they might as well just apply to close the site for private photoshoots.

You have no right to claim a public space as your own. Don’t make a living by causing trouble for others. This place represents the country’s image. Please adjust your attitude. #WatArunPhotographer P.S. After coming down, the team told me that Apo was chased out of the frame three times as well."

After posting about his experience, Pond Krisada posted again on X saying, "I call on Wat Arun’s team to help preserve the sacred beauty, allowing the world to feel the sincerity of Thai people at Wat Arun. We take pride in welcoming everyone to learn about our beautiful culture. Commercial activities should be orderly, not disturbing or taking advantage of others. Let’s be part of preserving this spiritual value and passing on the elegance of Thailand. Happy New Year."
