
It is sad news at the start of the year when Pa Ted Yuthana Boon-om has announced the very sad news about the passing of DJ Noo, a former famous DJ of the radio station Fat Radio, an indie music radio station beloved by alternative youth that closed 13 years ago.
Pa Ted posted, “This is shocking news. DJ Noo of Fat Radio, or Khun Noo of Kidnappers, has left us. My deepest condolences go to her family and everyone who loved her.”
As for DJ Noo, Monthip Lipisunthorn, she was the former lead singer of the band Kidnappers, the second generation, before transitioning to become a DJ at Fat Radio, an indie music station loved by many, known for her clear voice featured in numerous TV and radio commercials.
Her family has scheduled the water-pouring funeral rite today (6 Jan 2026) at 4:00 p.m. at Pavilion 2, Wat Thepleela, with the Buddhist chanting from 6-8 January 2026. The cremation ceremony will take place on Saturday, 10 January 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
