The drama has been ongoing since the end of last year involving the pair of Base Rakwannee Kamsing and Big, the Village Headman from Finland. Over the past year, many fans have been shipping them, with frequent live joint appearances. However, they ultimately couldn't withstand the backlash from fans on both sides—Big’s fans disliked Base, and Base’s fans disliked Big. In the end, Big went live to announce ending their 'ship' status, though they remain good friends. Now, he has unfollowed Base on Instagram and deleted all their joint photos and videos to end the drama. Big spoke about this issue, saying:
"Actually, we have no problems with each other. We've always worked together with mutual understanding. Within our circle, there was no drama, but outside, there was a lot. Our fans have different styles, and when they met, opinions clashed, causing ongoing drama that got heavy. So we talked and agreed to step back to protect our work and the audience’s feelings. We agreed to meet only privately and not record any videos."
When asked when discomfort began, Big said it came from fans overthinking and shipping too much, which affected many things. He saw it could cause harm in the future, so they stepped back, avoided appearing together publicly, and worked separately. If a good opportunity arises, they might share the frame again.
"We joked about this and weren't serious. As band executives, we don’t want anyone affected, and since Base is an actress, we don’t want drama impacting her work."
Regarding unfollowing on Instagram, Big said this was to reduce closeness issues. Whether following or not, they still meet as before. They deleted photos first to stop the shipping and cleared all pictures and videos to reduce problems and drama.
About rumors of the other party shipping with a fellow channel actor, Big said there’s nested shipping drama, but he has no problem with it. Fans have the right to ship anyone. He himself has no issues with anyone and supports all. He even wishes the BB fandom would dissolve because although the fans support them, he doesn’t want negative impressions.
"Honestly, this came from all sides. We don’t dare blame anyone. People get very invested, love strongly, and cheer enthusiastically, hoping for their wishes to come true. But when things don’t go their way, anger arises. We can’t be close to anyone without being criticized or receiving negative comments. We want to work with anyone, Base can work with anyone, and we can meet anytime."
"We don’t even know all the fan groups out there. Some fans support fully but gossip behind the scenes. There are fans who cheer 100%, and others who harshly criticize. It feels broad and strange. These influences affect us because we don’t feel like ourselves at work. Whenever we meet other women or men, even slight closeness is not accepted."
He admitted the drama is uncomfortable, but working with friends isn’t. He feels much more at ease working that way, enjoying food and drinks. But facing drama feels unpleasant, as he has dealt with it continuously and doesn’t want to bring it to new people. He wants newcomers to see only good things.
Asked if he has ever warned such fans, he said he has but it didn’t work. He cannot stop people from insulting. When he asks them to cooperate and they refuse, he chooses to step back on his own.
He never reported anyone before, but if business or work is harmed on a large scale, he will take action. However, personal insults related to his private life or gender have never led to complaints.
Regarding his relationship with Base Kamsing, it remains the same, just with some distance to reduce negative impressions. They communicate privately every day, joking over drama screenshots without any real problems. They continue working together but agreed to pause when drama escalates, as the negativity outweighs the positives.
When asked about caring for others’ feelings and his own, he said their friendship is still good. If drama decreases, both would be much happier. As for the canceled BB festival, if they cared only about money, they would ignore drama and continue selling, since more drama brings more buyers. But they have passed that point; they don’t want drama-driven sales because it can backfire long-term.
He confirmed that both he and Base are fine behind the scenes with no fights or hard feelings. They simply agreed to take a break before this festival because more drama only fuels public attention.
