TV Industry Shock! JKN18 Announces End of Broadcast, Final Air Date 25 Jan 2026

After the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) resolved to delist JKN Global Group Public Company Limited from being a listed company effective 26 December 2025, due to false disclosure in the 2023 financial statements, which could affect shareholders’ rights and interests.

The latest development JKN18 — the TV channel of JKN Global Group — displayed a scrolling message announcing it will cease broadcasting, with the final air date set for 25 January 2026. This is despite JKN18 still holding a television operating license from the NBTC valid until 2029. The message read as follows:

“To all viewers, Digital TV Channel 18 will broadcast its last program on 25 January 2026 at 24:00, and will cease broadcasting from 26 January 2026 at 00:00 onwards. The station thanks all viewers for their continuous support.”

The reason is believed to be linked to the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s decision to delist JKN Global Group Public Company Limited, although JKN had previously sought business rehabilitation due to liquidity problems and bond payment defaults.

However, the Special Appeal Court dismissed that petition on 25 December 2025, explaining there was no reasonable cause and no feasible plan to rehabilitate the business under the law. This caused JKN to exit the legal business rehabilitation process, leading to the decision to shut down Channel 18 shortly thereafter.
