After the actress Noon Waranuch and Todd Piti PiromyaPhakdi her businessman husband, authorized lawyer Kaew Dr. Monchai Jongkrairatnagul to file a lawsuit against Ajarn Uay Chanitha Satsue, a well-known fortune teller and former close friend of Moddam Kachapa, following an audio clip in which Ajarn Uay made defamatory remarks about Noon and Todd causing damage. .
Most recently, on the morning of 15 January 2026, Noon and Todd together with lawyer Kaew went to the Taling Chan Criminal Court regarding the defamation case against Ajarn Uay, case number A 2542/2568. Before attending court, they gave the following statements:
- Lawyer Kaew revealed that today was the first hearing. The court wanted the plaintiffs and defendant to meet. We came prepared to mediate and are initially waiting to hear what the defendant proposes. The plaintiffs have no set position yet; we need to see the defendant's stance first since we don’t know what they will say in court.
- Noon said that for this first mediation, she came prepared. As lawyer Kaew said, they have to wait and see how the defendant wants to mediate. Noon does not have specific expectations or demands and prefers to wait for the defendant’s proposals.
- Lawyer Kaew added that after the incident, the defendant sent an apology message via Noon’s personal LINE, although it was not official. It seemed to be an apology intended to prevent a lawsuit. When asked if Noon replied to Ajarn Uay, she said she did not.
- Todd Piti said they will listen to the defendant's feelings about their actions and how they plan to mediate today. It’s too soon to assess or gauge their attitude. They need to see what the defendant shows, says, and takes responsibility for in court.
- Regarding the defendant’s defamatory remarks about his family, Todd said this is not the first time for him and Noon, but this time the damage is wider, not only affecting them personally. It should be a case study on multiple issues involving false claims. This case is quite serious because it involves work and family matters, which he believes is wrong and should not be overlooked.
- Asked whether he thought the mediation would end well, Todd said that remains to be seen and it is difficult to predict. Everyone hopes for a resolution when going to court, but the form of the resolution will depend on legal advice and discussions between him and Noon.
- When asked how much impact this has had on Noon, she said mainly she believes people have seen and understood the damage, especially to her reputation. It has harmed her public image, and she has no ill intent.
- Lawyer Kaew stated that Noon and Todd each are suing for 10 million baht, totaling 20 million baht. They want to take it step by step, starting with mediation to show sincerity. Since the court kindly allowed them to meet, they are doing so. If mediation fails, the case will proceed with a hearing to determine its merits. If no resolution occurs today, Noon is ready to testify and continue through the normal process.
- Regarding damages, they will be evaluated according to evidence and testimony. For now, it is too early to analyze or speculate because the opposing side has the right to cross-examine. The case must be heard from both sides, so they will wait and talk first. Today was just the first meeting to move the process forward.
