90s Fans Excited as Jeab Pisuth, Former RS Singer and Father of Jee Sutthirak, Becomes New Senator

Nineties music fans were greatly excited upon seeing Jeab Pisuth Sapwijit the former famous singer from RS label, introduced as a new member of the Senate.

Previously, Jeab Pisuth served as a reserve senator in Group 16 covering arts, culture, music, performance, entertainment, and sports before being promoted to replace Mr. Wichian Chaisathaporn, who was disqualified by court ruling from running for office for 10 years.

Jeab Pisuth is a former top singer and producer from RS during its heyday, having produced songs for many famous artists such as Tao Somchai, Nook Sutthida, James Ruangsak, and Lift-Oil. His own solo albums that gained fame include “PISUT” in 1992 and “Pisuth TYPE TWO” in 1994, with legendary hits like "Love You Until the Last Day," "Really Cool," "No Difference," and "Everything for You."

He also released two collaborative albums with Pae Hi-Rock in 1994 and 1998 titled “Rock Amphan” and “Rock Amphan Luk Khor Fai,” which rearranged popular Thai pop and country songs into heavy metal.

Pisuth’s image was that of a rock musician with long hair, headband, and skinny jeans, known for clean, pleasant music with distinctive lyrics and sound.

In his personal life, he was married to Jacqueline Apithananon, a former actress, and they have one son, Jee Sutthirak Sapwijit, who is now a well-known leading actor with a broad fan base.

Regarding Jeab Pisuth’s political path,

after stepping away from the entertainment industry for some time, Jeab Pisuth turned to politics, working with the Palang Pracharath Party in public relations and community activities. Later, in 2022, he joined the Thai Sang Anakot Party as part of the working group and conducted fieldwork in Bangkok.

In 2024, he ran for Senate in Group 16 (arts, culture, music, performance, entertainment, sports) and was selected as a reserve senator. He continues his behind-the-scenes music work and participates in charity concerts and activities, as well as sharing musical knowledge with younger generations.

Most recently, with Senator Wichian Chaisathaporn of Group 16 having his electoral rights revoked for 10 years by court ruling, Jeab Pisuth was promoted to serve as the new senator for that group.
