This remains a story that many continue to follow, concerning Nana Raibina. The case where she took money from friends, which became a major news story late last year.
Most recently, Khaopod Samitinan, one of the friends involved in the financial dispute with Nana Raibina, answered netizens during a live stream with Cindy Sirinya when asked if she had been repaid by Nana.
Khaopod replied, “No, definitely not. There’s been no contact at all. Honestly, she disappeared completely.” Then Cindy asked, “Is there any hope?” to which Khaopod responded,
“We have to hope for the legal system. She disappeared completely from my side (though she’s still active on social media). As a debtor, she’s gone. But Nana did contact the aunt I lent money from, since that wasn’t my loan but the aunt’s.”
(Why only with your aunt?) “Because Nana said that anyone who hasn’t filed a police report will be taken care of first, or something like that. People think differently. I probably filed a report, so it might be a complicated process. But those who haven’t filed can still negotiate; Nana said she would start repaying those people first. But my aunt, from whom I borrowed to lend Nana, hasn’t been repaid yet. Nana said she hopes to start installments.”
Then Cindy told viewers during the live stream, “Okay, so no money has been received, not even a baht.” Khaopod added, “There’s been no contact at all. They said a lawyer would get in touch, but nothing yet. I wasn’t in Thailand over New Year either. Nana knows where we are, what we’re doing, phone numbers, bank account details. It’s really not difficult.”
