Krate Reveals Why She Didnt Lend Money to Way and Nana: If They Wanted to Borrow, They Would Have Already

It became a hot topic during the New Year's Eve celebration regarding the case of Krate Tra Boonyaleang. She was unable to sing her own songs on stage due to copyright issues, sparking drama about why she couldn’t perform her own music.

Recently, she appeared alongside her fiancé, Toshi Jiratip Panthi, on the Talk Zab Show on One31 channel, updating that she has apologized to her former label and revealed meeting Nana and Way over New Year, bringing a tantric bowl for spiritual cleansing to dispel negativity. She confirmed that the other party has never asked to borrow money.

About the recent drama where you couldn’t sing your own songs on stage?

Krate: "What happened was, on stage, we joked around and didn’t think much of it. Normally, I can sing my own songs, but the drama arose because everyone criticized my former label, asking why they were so cruel not to let me sing. Actually, I can sing, but some events don’t allow it.

This is because the event organizers have to obtain the copyright themselves, which depends on their company’s conditions. For paid festival events, it’s commercial, and the organizer for that day may not have negotiated, so I couldn’t perform. I was allowed to sing up to seven words per the terms. When I posted about it, many didn’t understand and created drama questioning why my former label wouldn’t grant copyright.

The label’s management felt hurt, wondering why they appeared heartless. In truth, I am also at fault for not explaining on stage—the time was short. Some asked why I didn’t buy the copyright myself. It’s a business matter, and now I am a businesswoman too. Some rights can’t be fully bought. But my former label did allow me to sing. When asked if I ever tried to buy the rights, they didn’t sell. Our understanding is that I can sing, but others argued I couldn’t."

What did your former label say about this?

Krate: "They felt hurt and called me. I apologized because I’ve been a good kid for 20 years at RS Siam. I’ve given my all and love that place; it’s like a second home. We talked and cleared things up, and they understood."

Will you buy the copyright outright in the future?

Krate: "You’d have to ask my former label (smiles). I confirm there’s no problem; we still love each other."

Have you recently met your close friends Nana and Way? How are they?

Krate: "Normally, I attend their birthday every year. To explain, my family and Nana’s have always helped each other, especially musically. But I don’t know the full story of what happened to them, who’s right or wrong. People can lose their way; I’m not sure. But to me, they’ve always been kind, like older siblings, helping me all along."

Toshi: "We offer encouragement. People can make mistakes. The key is whether they take responsibility. If they do, I support them. That’s all."

How is their mental state?

Krate: "They fight hard. The last time I saw them, they were still kind as ever. We share positive energy. Every problem has a solution. I have been through such a point and moved forward. It’s hard for someone starting from zero to rise, but I’m at this point. When I fall, I can stand back up."

I encourage them because I’m luckier than many. Since they’ve faced many hardships, I try to send only positive energy. We gave them a tantric bowl to strike because the peaceful atmosphere helps absorb natural energy—earth, water, wind, fire—under a big tree. The air was great then. I want them to cleanse their energy, clear their mind, and recharge at the same time."

These sound waves are scientifically referenced to help relaxation and calmness. I studied this—cosmic energy. I believe it helps them keep fighting. Doing this, I don’t know what I will get, but I do what I can."

When you commented to encourage them during their drama, did the backlash come to you?

Krate: "People asked why I supported them. I’m not close to them, so it’s a bit odd (smiles). But encouraging them was a good feeling—I wanted them to keep fighting, at least on days when they had no one, they’d get positive energy from me."

Many didn’t understand and left many comments. I recall one comment said they usually use Krate cosmetics but would stop after seeing my supportive comment. I often face drama, but I read comments to consider them, then let them go without holding on."

Did the comments feel harsh? Yes, but I’m positive. They’re not wrong to comment like that. I respect their decision. If they don’t want to support or love Krate anymore, that’s fine. But I believe someday they’ll understand me."

Someone asked, "Why doesn’t Krate lend Nana money to pay his debts?"

Krate: "(Laughs) Many comments asked that. Here’s the thing: if they wanted to borrow, they would have already. They never asked me for money. Nobody’s perfect—people have good and bad sides. I choose to love the good parts. I’ve never encountered problems with them. They’re very kind and never talked about money with me."

You even let them sell your products in their baskets?

Krate: "Yes, to help each other so debts clear faster. I also gave them a nice commission. I want their mom to keep fighting."

And another thing: if sales exceed 1 billion, will you get married at the end of this year?

Toshi: "We’ve already exceeded that."

Krate: "That was our goal last year. Many said we were money-minded, that if it’s not a billion, we won’t marry. But it’s a personal challenge—wondering if we can do it. It’s a big amount. Who’d have thought we’d achieve it from ten to hundreds, then a thousand? Everything grew because of us—we sold our souls; it was exhausting."

So we can expect good news soon?

Toshi: "Probably by the end of this year."

Krate: "We have many projects now, so we don’t have time to discuss the wedding."

Toshi: "It’s like the after-party started right away."

Krate: "I greeted for about 10 minutes, then we had fun."

But I heard recently you chose to preserve eggs instead?

Krate: "This year I’m 39; dating younger is good. I want a family and kids, thinking within two years we’ll have a baby. So I decided to preserve eggs. I had to change my lifestyle because I was sleeping little and my body was tired, worried about the baby’s health. After New Year, I changed from sleeping at 2 a.m. to 10 p.m. and waking at 6 a.m. I changed my lifestyle; health is important."

Toshi: "We aim to have two children."

Krate: "I want twins."

Recently, your products were copied?

Krate: "Yes, it made me cry. I understand big brand names get copied, but I’m sad customers get fake products. Scammers use my face and voice but send different products, misleading customers. These come from China."

Some customers didn’t know and bought cheap items, then commented on our page not to buy, saying products didn’t match the description, though those were fakes. Some even said, “Good thing I read the comments first.” That hurts me. We’re taking legal action, but it’s difficult because it’s from abroad. Even if we close one source, they open another. We warn consumers a lot through our page."
