The young singer has announced he will stop concerts and reduce acting gigs. "Tono Pakin" because he wants to focus and fully dedicate himself to the football team Khon Kaen FC. As club president, he is 100% committed, hoping to lead the team to become No. 1 in the Northeast region.
He also revealed the origin of his legal land pawn business charging low interest. "I don’t accept concert work anymore. I already discussed with my manager that last year's European tour would be my final long concert tour. After that, I will dedicate myself 100% to football."
He declined other acting offers, but “P’Kriang” agreed to wait until the season ended, so he took that role. Over nearly 20 years, I've been frugal. I've done various businesses—protein supplements, real estate. Since COVID, when locals had informal debt problems, I let them owe me instead.
Normally they pay 10% interest monthly, but they pay me a much lower rate. I’m happy with that. It may seem small to some, but to me it’s enough. Importantly, I help locals, they’re happy, and I’m happy too. I don’t overspend, so I’m not in trouble. This lets me focus 100% on my hometown football club.
I started this during COVID quietly, not telling anyone. It began small. I’m happy running this business charging low interest. For example, customers who used to pay 100,000 baht monthly now pay just 10,000 baht, greatly easing their burden.
Instead of letting my money sit idle in the bank, it grows steadily. I do concerts, act in films, do endorsements, and invest that money in real estate—land pawning and mortgages.
But in the four to five years since starting, I’ve never seized anyone’s land. I help, but they must responsibly pay the agreed low interest.
Everything is clear and legal. People feel comfortable because they know it’s me. I manage it well, charging very little interest, no extra fees. At first, some were confused because I used the name “Lung Dam” instead of “Tono” for the land business. When they meet me, they’re glad and feel secure dealing with “Tono.” So it’s settled. This isn’t a big business.
I do it alone with my savings, not partners. I’ve been doing it for years. If it got too big, I couldn’t handle it. It’s nationwide but small scale. I’m not a millionaire. I do what I can manage without problems. I don’t use hot money, only cold money. I do just enough to live and help as much as I can. Few people join and expect 100% interest anyway.
