Toon Bodyslam Diagnosed with Cervical Spine Degeneration and Bone Spurs, Undergoes Surgery and 30-Day Recovery

Fans grew concerned when the male singer Toon Artiwara Kongmalai also known as Toon Bodyslam was diagnosed with cervical spine degeneration and bone spurs, along with nerve compression in his left arm. He needs surgery to correct the nerve compression on 22 January 2026, followed by an initial 30-day work hiatus after surgery.

On his Instagram @artiwara, a letter from his management, Genie Records, was posted to inform fans, containing the following details:

“Genie Records would like to announce that Toon Artiwara Kongmalai (lead singer of Bodyslam) has been diagnosed with cervical spine degeneration and bone spurs, accompanied by nerve compression in his left arm. This condition causes pain, weakness, and disrupts daily activities.

The attending physician has considered treatment options and determined surgery is necessary to relieve the nerve compression on 22 January 2026. After surgery, the patient must refrain from work and avoid strenuous movements of the neck and body to allow proper recovery.

Therefore, it is recommended that the patient take an initial rest period of approximately 30 days from the surgery date. This means he will be unable to perform concerts during this time but plans to return to performing at the G27 Fest rock music festival.

The management and artist sincerely apologize to all fans, event organizers, and related parties for any inconvenience caused.

Announcement dated 21 January 2026.”

Additionally, Toon Bodyslam explained his symptoms further: “On 21 January 2026, I began experiencing weakness in my left fingers and severe neck pain. These symptoms started during the last two or three months of last year’s concert tour, but I pushed through and monitored my condition daily. Eventually, the symptoms did not improve and worsened each day, prompting me to consult multiple doctors to determine the cause and possible treatments. After visiting several hospitals and specialists, I decided to undergo surgery again.

I sincerely apologize to all fans, organizers, and everyone involved that I cannot perform as planned during the full month of recovery starting tomorrow, the surgery date. I hope to meet and sing happily with everyone again once my health is fully restored. Thank you all once more for your support and encouragement throughout this time.

Love,

...#NoYouNoBodyslam"

Fans who learned the news responded with supportive comments wishing Toon a speedy recovery. Thairath Entertainment also sends best wishes for his swift return to good health.
