iQIYI, a leading global video streaming platform, officially announced the launch of the epic historical series “The Unseen Qin Empire.” This marks a significant step for Chinese historical series aiming to elevate content, production, and stunning visuals to international standards.
The series is directed by skilled filmmaker Lü Xing, known for the acclaimed work Burning Ice, and scripted by Chang Jiang, the writer behind the legendary series The Advisors Alliance. It stars top actors Chen Xiao, Zhang Xincheng, Dai Luwa, Dai Xu, and Xu Hao, with special appearances by esteemed actors Wang Jin Song and Chen Su.
With film-level production quality, “The Unseen Qin Empire” transports viewers behind the scenes of the unification of six states under Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China (born Ying Zheng, known in Thailand as Qin Shi Huang). The series reveals never-before-seen perspectives and brings this legendary history back to life. It is scheduled to air in late 2026.
