Nok Pongsakorn Furious! Lead Actor in Mor Lam Group Assaulted, Vows No Free Harm to Younger Brother, Demands Full Justice

“Nok Pongsakorn”, head of the famous Mor Lam troupe, “Siang Wihok”, posted a message on his personal Facebook with anger after the lead actor in the troupe was assaulted. He expressed feeling that the police officers in the area did not act justly. Nok's post stated that during a performance last night at Wat Klang Udomwet, Phanom Phrai district, Roi Et province, “Toffee Ekdanai,” the troupe's lead actor, was assaulted (slapped on the head), which he saw as an insult to those in the same profession. Nok questioned the dignity of artists, saying no one should be arbitrarily bullied.

Nok revealed that at the time of the incident, Toffee Ekdanai of Mor Lam Siang Wihok took a photo of the assailant’s ID card as evidence, but the police told him this was illegal. Additionally, the perpetrator was not immediately detained, causing feelings of insecurity. Nok Pongsakorn insisted he would pursue the case fully, stating, “My younger brother will not suffer harm in vain.” Besides expressing frustration, the Siang Wihok leader appealed to the Phanom Phrai Police Chief (Roi Et province) to kindly handle the case fairly, emphasizing that artists are citizens who deserve legal protection as well.

“Every profession carries dignity and respect. Imagine if someone slapped you—would you still be human? I urge the Phanom Phrai Police Chief to take action for us.” After the post was published, many fans and members of the Mor Lam community commented to offer support and shared it widely to demand justice for the “Siang Wihok lead actor.” Most criticized the assailant’s behavior and questioned the standards of the police officers’ response that night.
