After actress Nara Thepnupa, came forward to say she ended her relationship with singer CD Kantheer, she revealed her emotional state: “It’s gradually getting better (smiles), I’m okay. Actually, I saw comments from people but had no chance to respond because we never called it dating. So, one day to say we broke up wouldn’t be right. But since he made that decision, I respect it and have been managing myself.”
However, a controversy arose from her interview phrase that they never dated, so saying they broke up is inaccurate. Recently, Nara posted a message on Instagram @nara.thepnupa stating:
“I want to clarify to prevent further misunderstandings. When I said ‘we never called it dating, so saying we broke up isn’t right,’ I meant in the media context, as we never publicly defined it. So when faced with media questions, I wondered if it would feel strange.”
“Our relationship is clear between us, and I believe everyone who has seen or met us knows. I didn’t intend to blame anyone in the interview but to clarify and answer many questions. Thank you all for your support, and I hope this won’t be used to harm either side.”
Meanwhile, CD Kantheer posted an old clip on his Instagram Story where he referred to Nara as 'My Girlfriend' and tagged her, writing, “How come you say we weren’t dating? Please explain.”
CD then recorded a clip about this on Instagram Story, saying, “She said she respects my decision; I respect hers too. I’m not angry at all. I think she may have caused some misunderstanding because when she said we weren’t dating, she meant we never publicly said so. But that doesn’t mean we never dated. I accept her in every status. Everyone has probably seen that all along. So don’t criticize me too much.”
After Nara’s clarification, CD reposted her explanation on his Instagram Story as well.
