Poo Kanokwan Shares How Daughter Prai Frequently Calls Across Continents, But Her Last Sentence Startled Her

After Poo Kanokwan Buranond posted heartfelt reflections on life via Facebook, saying that if this had not happened, she would not have realized how many people love her. She thanked everyone and said she is now ready to accept reality, considering it as the end of her fortune. Today, Poo went to apply for a visa, eager to see her daughter, who is her whole world. Many people sent her waves of encouragement.

After the tension eased, Poo Kanokwan posted about her daughter Prai, who is currently studying in Prague, Czech Republic, and will graduate this June. Poo is preparing visa documents to fly there to join in congratulating her daughter.

On her Facebook, Kanokwan Buranond posted photos of Prai and screenshots of their frequent phone chats. She wrote, “Last night, my daughter called very often. The calls kept dropping... but she kept calling back. You might think it was urgent or important, needing immediate decisions, right? But it wasn’t.

“Mom, I’m on my way to a stationery store to buy a planner. The university opens tomorrow.”
“Mom, I’m in front of an ATM because my app isn’t working. I have to verify my identity.”
“Mom, this semester I’m taking a Czech language class.”
“Mom, Charles Bridge is very crowded today. There are many tourists.” ...and so on.”

Prai talks at length about everything around her—the weather, the environment. During every call, background voices from people nearby can be heard occasionally.

…Then the phrase that caught her attention was, “Mom, today a guy ‘kicked’ me.” The mother startled, sitting up from her bed and asked loudly, “What happened? Why did he kick you?”

Her daughter was surprised and quickly replied, “No, Mom, it wasn’t ‘kick’ but ‘flirt.’ He studies at another university and came over to flirt with me.”

…And then came the unmistakable sign of a mother’s age…
…“Eyesight getting blurry.”

This post drew many likes and comments from friends and fans, such as: “Such a lovely, attentive mother and daughter who can talk about anything,” “So cute,” “I envy the mother for having a daughter who shares everything, like a close friend. P’Poo is very lucky,” “Such a sweet daughter, I adore the mom,” “Yoohoo, you’re a young woman now. Mom probably hopes for ‘kick’ more than ‘flirt,’ right? Haha,” and more.
