Fans have grown concerned and sent their support to the famous action star. Tony Jaa Yimram. This follows rumors that he has been diagnosed with stage 3 gallbladder cancer.
A close source, a friend to both Tony Jaa and his wife Bung-gee, revealed to Jack Green of Thairath Entertainment that Tony Jaa was actually diagnosed with stage 3 gallbladder cancer that progressed to stage 4 in June 2024.
At that time,Tony Jaa had shown no prior symptoms, but on the day of diagnosis, he experienced severe abdominal pain. His wife took him to the doctor, and after assessing the risk of cancer, he was referred for a biopsy which confirmed stage 3 gallbladder cancer progressing to stage 4. The family then decided to have Tony Jaa undergo gallbladder cancer surgery, followed by chemotherapy treatment.Since then, he has continued with chemotherapy,but this information was kept private.
By late last year, his cancer markers had dropped to normal levels. Tony Jaa then held a grand ordination ceremony, symbolically marking a new beginning. After disrobing, he went for follow-up check-ups.It was found thathis cancer markers had risen again. Ultimately, Tony Jaa resumed chemotherapy treatment.
Regarding this, Tony Jaa’s family affirmed that his previous weight loss, which sparked rumors of drug use or HIV infection, was untrue. His weight loss last year was due to cancer treatment.
Tony Jaa and his wife Bung-gee also thank fans for their concern. They had kept this private to avoid causing worry. However, Tony Jaa is currently not ready to give interviews and remains under treatment. He is scheduled to receive chemotherapy at the hospital this Friday.
