Exclusive: Heng Burinthorn, Veteran Concert Organizer with 23 Years in the Industry

When discussing key figures in Thailand's concert and music festival scene, the name "Heng Kot Indy" or "Heng Burinthorn Saelo" stands out as one of the country's top "Men of Music." With over 23 years as a concert organizer, Heng is not just an event planner but a passionate music lover across genres—from indie and rock to Suntharaporn and reggae. As a core member of Heavy Organizer, he channels this passion to inspire and connect people through music, creating musical spaces that cater to all audiences and deliver rich, unique festival experiences.

Heng's name is remembered not only as a "concert organizer" but also as a creator of musical spaces where listeners can truly connect emotionally with their favorite genres and immerse themselves in the music they love.

Heng defines himself as a "lightning rod of the industry" (concert organizer) not to challenge others, but to challenge the impossible. Wherever a place seems quiet or unlikely, Heng leads by bringing joy himself. He views his role as more than a typical concert organizer—he aims to forge a "culture" that combines music, art, food, fashion, and community. This cultural blend generates income that spreads to local SMEs in the areas hosting his concerts, creating genuine, lasting happiness in people’s hearts.

Although Heng’s journey began with a joyful love of music, he has always been bold, daring, and willing to take risks. He created "Kot Indy" as a space to unleash the energy of outsiders under the belief that artists of all ages deserve equal platforms to express their music. This made "Kot Indy" a successful business that also raised Heng’s profile.

From "Kot Indy" to today, Heng has grown into Heavy Organizer, managing large-scale national concerts and music festivals. Still, his driving force remains the creation of happiness for people rather than profit. This foundation is evident in every event he helps organize. Heng sees concert organizing as a "sacrifice" exchanged for joy—the joy of completing a project and the joy of the audience. This happiness creates a ripple effect that genuinely impacts communities and those around them.

It is no surprise that Heavy Organizer’s work now includes major music festivals fueled by emotion, memory, and musical culture. Each event offers its own challenges and charms. For example, the Valentine celebration "Valentine Fun by the Cliff 14 Feb - I Love You" takes place amid the breathtaking natural beauty of WILD CALLING FARM PARK, Khao Yai, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, with panoramic mountain views across 420 rai. Tickets are available at a promotional price of 990 baht (regular price 1,800 baht) via m.me/RIMPHAMUSICFESTIVAL.

This event features beloved artists across three stages with 33 performers including NONT TANONT, BOWKYLION, THE TOYS, SLOT MACHINE, SILLY FOOLS, 4EVE, TATTOO COLOUR, Pongsit Kampee, P Saderd, F.HERO, POLYCAT, SCRUBB, GREASY CAFE, Singto Numchok, SAFEPLANET, MUSKETEERS, MIRR, JSPKK, Laem Somphon, INDIGO, DEPT, BLACKBEANS, PURPEECH, MANUTSAWEE, Khwanjai Ensemble, MOCCA GARDEN, Ja Nongpanee, Arpaporn Nakhonsawan, Tuk Siriporn, Su Sunaree, Yingyong Yodbuangam, and Kwang Jiraporn.

Additionally, there is the urban event "4 Culture Lifestyle Festival," a gathering of cool people from Southern Thailand celebrating 111 years of Surat Thani on Saturday, 21 March 2026 GMT+7 at the Wang Tai Activity Ground, Surat Thani Province. Leading performers include Greasy Cafe, Pongsit Kampee, Thee Chaiyadej, Prou Pause, T-Bone aRootstic, AYLA’s, Khwanjai Ensemble, Moving and Cut, with DJ stages featuring DJ TANJAI, DJ MATIN, and DJ PISTACHIO, offering music that takes the audience both back in time and forward together.

The festival transforms the area into a hub connecting all creative energies of the city, linking music, art, fashion, crafts, food, beverages, environmental care, lifestyle, and friendship. This connection aims for sustainable coexistence and meaningful integration. In May 2026 GMT+7, the international reggae music festival "SUNSET BEACH" will also return to Thailand, continuing its legacy.

Following that is "Release the Tiger," the largest scout camp-style music festival. This year proudly presents "LEO presents Release the Tiger Year 5: Be Wild" with two full days and five natural stages hosting over 70 Thai artists, alongside 20 contemporary cultural exhibits and 10 exciting activity bases, held 24–25 October 2026 GMT+7 in a vast 720-rai forest area at Phuritatt Scout Camp, Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province.

Though held multiple times, this edition stands apart as the first serious Eco Friendly or Green Festival in all aspects. Campaigns include exchanging 1,200 bottle caps for entry tickets, encouraging waste sorting, and weighing and recording every piece of trash. Collaborations involve the Saleng Association, youth volunteers, and the "Saraburi Sandbox" team to promote the area as a model Low Carbon city.

Since the event's launch, it has received overwhelming support from regular "Tiger" festival-goers and Green partners eagerly anticipating a sustainable celebration at Release the Tiger Year 5.

Moreover, beyond events, Heavy Organizer has opened the door to "Heavy Green," expanding beyond concerts to create social benefits in various forms. For instance, on 17 January 2026 GMT+7, they held a bird-watching event (Bird Walk) at Sam Roi Yot wetlands, learning about the ecosystem of this habitat for local and migratory birds. Future plans include more Green Festivals and sustainability-driven events under Heavy Green’s management.

All these stories reflect the true identity of "Heng Kot Indy" or "Heng Burinthorn Saelo," who uses the "Soft Power" of music—rooted in love and memory—to lead efforts toward a larger goal: "creating happiness and sustainability for communities" driven by genuine spirit.
