After Poo Kanokwan appeared on the Club Friday Show for the first time, she gave her first interview to the media afterward and candidly explained what happened. Poo said she had ended her relationship with Deaw Doksadao after discovering that Deaw had been leading a double life for over 29 years.
At one point, Poo revealed that she had been solely responsible for all household expenses, earning money alone to support their child and managing all business endeavors herself. Meanwhile, Deaw would just say, "Go ahead, do whatever," which made Poo feel more like a servant than a life partner.
Were you suspicious at all?
"No. I am the family's pillar. I earn the money to support Deaw well because he hasn't had work for several years. When he goes out, he says he’s with someone doing merit-making. If he stays home, he would be bored because he enjoys socializing, while I stay at home alone. I always thought that if someone wants to leave, they will, so I focused on working and earning money."
How did you feel about Deaw's love for you? Did it remain the same? Did he still love you?
"If not for this situation, yes, he loves me. For example, on his birthday after finishing at a cafe around 2 a.m., he stopped by Foodland to buy fruit and canned fish, cooked rice, then woke me up at 5 a.m., served rice, and prepared to take me to make merit at the temple. That was enough. He never bought gifts or branded items. Doing just this was enough."
How long has it been that you have been raising your child alone without Deaw contributing financially?
"For a very long time, over 10 years before the show 'Before Noon Stress Relief.' I never knew how much he earned because he never gave me anything. I earned money myself and never asked. Sometimes I teased him to pay some bills, but he said he had none because he paid off debts. I am the one paying for the house. In the clips where I cooked, I was the one paying. Every morning, 1,000 baht; evening, 1,000 baht; refueling the car, 3,000 baht. When he leaves the house, he asks for 3,000 baht for fuel, and I pay. The expenses for Deaw alone, including food costs that I cover, total about 80,000 to 90,000 baht per month."
Have you ever wondered if this is a partnership or if you are just a servant?
"Oh, well, after we had a child, I thought that I was worried the child would be like me because the father is a voice actor who only has money when working. It's like being an actor—you only earn when you have a role. So when our child was born, I had to start a business on my own, think about it, and invest alone. I created and invested in the meatball business alone. Deaw would just say, 'Yeah, go ahead, do it.' Sometimes I think he sees me as either a life partner or a workhorse."
