After the female singer Lala Kwannapa Ruangsri or Lala Ponglangsaon posted a clip showing the younger male singer Bie Pathumrat greeting her by repeatedly kissing her cheeks and forehead during the Huay Rai Elina Festival 4 concert, with Eed Ponglangsaon standing beside them. While fans teased the pair, many criticized the act as inappropriate and some used vulgar language.
Most recently, Lala posted a statement on her Facebook page Kwannapa Ruangsri after seeing the controversy, saying, “What?! The clip has reached 5 million views and people are flooding in to insult Lala and Bie. I’d like to clarify for everyone about our actions.
We did not do this in a secluded place but in a crowded area, with Eed, Lala’s brother, right there. Also, we are very close and always greet each other like this, in the style of loving and caring siblings, with no other intention behind it.
While many criticize us as inappropriate, they use comments far worse than our actions—comments that are vulgar from below the navel to the belt area. These comments are not kind at all.
