Following public questions about the transparency of vote counting in the February 8, 2026 election, many citizens have filed complaints demanding recounts in numerous districts and provinces, turning the issue into a hotly debated topic on social media.
Recently, singer Pat Rannaphan Yangyuenpoonchai or Pat KLEAR posted a message questioning this matter on her Instagram @patklear, stating:
“Many citizens are not focused on whether the party they chose wins or loses, as everyone understands and respects democratic principles. But what we care about is whether the win or loss occurred transparently, and how verifiable the election management process is.
Since election day, when unit-level votes were aggregated and sent to the central system, why did the numbers remain stagnant for so long before moving again late at night? Where is the central vote aggregation system located, who supervises it, why is there no live broadcast or disclosure of data for the public in real time, and why does it take several days to finalize results despite many public questions?
In a situation where public confidence is shaken, consistent, clear, and verifiable communication is crucial because the heart of an election is not just the outcome but transparency, fairness, and the trust of the people.”
Pat KLEAR added a caption to this post: “Chonburi is my father’s home. I grew up there from childhood. As a child of Chonburi, I love Chonburi deeply. If anyone cheats in the 2026 election, I curse them to be doomed for life.”
While many fans thanked her for voicing concerns and offered numerous comments, some netizens cautioned, “Seeing your interest in Dharma, this is a sincere warning: be careful with your heart, don’t let anger dominate, and don’t allow greed or preference to cloud your mindfulness and wisdom. This warning comes with good intentions.”
Pat responded, “I humbly accept the warning,” then changed the post caption to: “Chonburi is my father’s home. I grew up there from childhood. As a child of Chonburi, I love Chonburi deeply.”
