This Chinese New Year, MBK Center hosts a grand celebration in downtown Bangkok with the "MBK Center CHINESE NEW YEAR 2026 CELEBRATION." It opens the new year with a spectacular show titled “The Empire of Fire Horses,” symbolizing the power of greatness and the start of good things in the Year of the Fire Horse. The event takes place at SKYWALK on the 2nd floor in front of MBK Center. The surrounding atmosphere is decorated in red, orange, and gold tones to enhance auspiciousness, featuring 8 "auspicious horses" symbolizing wealth, auspicious orange boxes, and the Chinese character “Fu” meaning good fortune. This year’s event adds a special touch with a subtle scent of mandarin oranges, a lucky fruit, filling the area to create a refreshing and relaxing environment for visitors, serving as a photo spot to capture positive energy.
The opening ceremony was grandly staged with lights, colors, and sound. MBK Public Company Limited executives led by Sompol Triphonart, Chief Executive Officer of the Shopping Center Business; Puttachad Srinisakorn, Chief Marketing Officer; Apichart Kamoltham, Chief Legal Officer; and Sahapphak Chokwijitrkul, Managing Director of MBK Center, participated. Also present were Boripan Chaipoom, Marketing Advisor of MBK Public Company Limited and Managing Director of Seven Star Studio Company Limited, along with rising stars from Channel 7HD, Chon Chawisakarn Worarojoyothin and Pupe Kasarin Noipheung, who helped enliven the event.
