Plaeng Chanmatida Reports Stalker Incident, Does Not Tell Mother Due to Concern

Many people have been quite concerned about the singer and actress Plaeng Chanmatida. Plaeng Chanmatida Asawamethas. She is the beloved daughter of the diva singer. Tu Nantida Kaewbuasai. Recently, a crazed man broke into the Asawamethas' home and fired four shots into the air before being arrested shortly after.

Recently, Plaeng Chanmatida appeared on the “Sisterhood” show on the Mirror Thailand YouTube channel and Jack Green Thai Rath Entertainment, where she was asked about this incident and updated on Tu Nantida, Plaeng’s mother, giving her first interview since Plaeng went through a breakup with her former boyfriend.

Asked about her interview on the Mirror program?

“It’s good. I really enjoyed it and had the chance to share many things with P'Nat (Thanawalai Watcharaphol).”

She looks much brighter?

“I’m happy.”

Any new projects coming up?

“Soon there will be a film to watch. We’re currently filming it, but next month I can reveal the title and my role. This will be my second movie; the first was 12 years ago called “Took Kae Rak Paeng Mak,” acting alongside Kao Jirayu. It’s my first film role in 12 years, and it should be released this year.”

What does your mother say about this?

“My mother always encourages me. Now I’m fully back to work because of the concert. It’s a concert I think many haven’t seen her do before since it’s Soul Night, a new rearrangement into soul music, and my mother loves the 60s era. So many songs will bring you into a soul era, which she really enjoys. Tickets go on sale on 28 Feb, and the concert is on 30 May.”

You’re taking care of both your mother and grandmother now. How do you support each other?

“We take turns caring for and encouraging each other. My mother supports me, I support her because she also looks after my grandmother. We all give each other strength and positive energy. There are three of us.”

How do you feel after hearing your mother’s interview?

“I feel that I am who I am today because of my mother. This child stands and moves forward because she’s the wind beneath my wings. My mother says we have to live in reality and not run from problems, even if the truth is painful, we must push through. Those are her words, and I believe them because we don’t hide problems waiting for them to explode; we face reality head-on.”

You're very strong?

“Thank you. It’s because of the support around me from those who truly love me that I can get up. You’ll hear such stories on the Mirror program, sharing ways to heal and love oneself. I hope what I shared with P'Nat today can help many heal their own hearts.”

Will we get to see you and your mother sing together?

“Hmm, that’s what this daughter fears most—singing with my mother. But we’ll have to see. If there’s an opportunity, maybe we will, but for now, I’ll just cheer her on.”

Are you seeing anyone now? You look radiant.

“(Laughs) I don’t know, but some people have greeted me. I’m not closing myself off but not rushing anything either. When the time is right.”

About the incident where someone broke into your home?

“I’m safe but quite shocked. Last week there were two incidents: someone fired a gun in the house, and another was a stalker. It was an exciting week, but everything is okay. I’m lucky to have many people around me. I have blocked the stalker now.”

How did he manage to follow you?

“He was watching over me. As for who he is, I don’t know.”

Does your mother know about this?

“I didn’t dare tell her because I was afraid she’d worry, but I’ve filed a police report. My mother probably knows now. Sorry I didn’t tell her earlier, but I didn’t want her to be concerned. Everything is still okay.”
