
Mahidol University, College of Music, Mahidol University Alumni Association under Royal Patronage, together with Thai Airways and Global Plus Entertainment, join forces to create a grand phenomenon showcasing the power of the Thai people in the “National Unity Concert,” an evening of masterful music that will captivate the hearts of all Thais.
Classical music lovers must not miss this concert, which compiles the most comprehensive collection of Thai national songs. It tells the story of history forged through long-standing independence, narrated through precious and rare songs. This is the first major event in the Thai classical music scene, proving that classical music never goes out of style nor fades from Thai society, through these songs.
Well-known pieces such as “Our Land,” “Hometown,” “Thai Unity,” “Born Thai, Die for Thai,” “Siamanusti,” “Sri Ayutthaya,” “Let’s Love One Another,” “We Fight,” and “The Highest Dream” will be performed by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), an internationally recognized orchestra. The orchestra is conducted by Special Colonel Dr. Prateep Suphanroj. It will be a special night filled with powerful music and song.
“Music of loyalty, a hundred hearts united in remembrance of royal benevolence” is the theme of this special concert, conveying stories of love, unity, and pride in being Thai through familiar songs from all eras. This quality musical event of the year was officially announced with the participation of executives and notable figures including Professor Dr. Piyamit Srithara, President of Mahidol University; Dr. Piyawat Luilapprasert, Dean of the College of Music, Mahidol University; Special Colonel Dr. Prateep Suphanroj, conductor of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra; Khunying Patama Leesawattrakul, Chairwoman of the orchestra’s board; Khun Chai Iamsiri, CEO of Thai Airways Public Company Limited; Khun Kittipong Sarasomboon, Chief Commercial Officer of Thai Airways; along with Khun Ratchada Satthapong, President of Global Plus Entertainment Agency, and other dignitaries including Khun Thawatchai Kritiyapichatkul, Khun Chaowchai Jiamwijit, Chairman of the Board of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, plus many artists and singers such as Air Force Captain Kanyarut Korsutthinun, Sergeant Major Trisika Phungchumchoen, Corporal Panthon Wangkahad, and Kamolporn Hunjaroen. Highlights of the press conference included a warm-up performance of “Thai Unity” by Phum Kaewfajarern, “Let’s Love One Another” by the Mahidol University Choir, and a special lecture by Mom Luang Panadda Diskul, Secretary-General of the Srisawangkwat Foundation under Royal Patronage, titled “The Royal Benevolence of the Mother of the Land and the Power of Thai Arts and Culture.”
Professor Dr. Piyamit Srithara, President of Mahidol University, spoke about organizing the “National Unity Concert”: “Music of loyalty, a hundred hearts united in remembrance of royal benevolence.” He said, “This event is held to honor and mourn Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, using the art of music as a creative force for Thai society. Mahidol University is internationally recognized for nurturing many quality artists. We pay deep respect for the royal benevolence and pride in being Thai through these precious songs featured in this concert at Mahidol Sitthakarn Hall, Mahidol University. The concert hall is a standard music venue designed with systems to support all types of musical performances, including interior decoration optimized for clear, surround sound listening.”
Phum Kaewfajarern (singer) said, “I feel happy and proud to be part of this grand national concert. As an alumnus of Mahidol University, I have had the opportunity to work with the TPO many times. This time is a great honor for me and my family to be part of the National Unity Concert. See you there.”
Ko Tull Panthanan (singer) said, “First, I want to thank the seniors who recognized my potential as a singer. It is an honor in my artistic career to sing songs considered national works. I invite everyone to be part of this event. I guarantee you will be fully immersed in music and song.”
The “National Unity Concert” features Phum Kaewfajarern, Ko Tull Panthanan, Sai Phisa Suansri (from the TV show “The Golden Song”), supported by a strong lineup including Ko Mr. Saxman, Lalit Woratepnitinun, Natthaporn Thamathi, Kamolporn Hunjaroen, Korawit Thephasadin Na Ayutthaya, Trisika Phungchumchoen, and the Mahidol University Choir. The music is performed by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), a Thai orchestra recognized internationally, conducted by Special Colonel Dr. Prateep Suphanroj. The concert takes place on Saturday, 7 March 2026, and a public performance on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
