It has become a widespread trend on social media when a popular young singer and actor “Tah Woo Pithaya” recently entered the business world by spending over a million baht to secure booths at the Rai Khing Temple Fair, scheduled from 19 March to 20 April 2026. Recently, Tah Woo shared a clip showing his visit to the temple and his first time booking booths there.
This was his first auction, and Tah Woo emphasized that he was determined to compete and would not back down, even when facing local bidders. He won two booths: booth 373 at over 400,000 baht and booth 374 at 900,000 baht, totaling 1.3 million baht in his first Rai Khing Temple Fair auction.
Meanwhile, some netizens who saw the clip flooded the comments section with opinions such as, “I don't support the high booth fees; temple fairs are meant to raise funds for temple development, so where is the money going now?”; “Why continue to support this way of fundraising?”; “The temple should set a maximum price ceiling for booths. It’s all about profit now.”; “Have they forgotten the temple’s true purpose?”; “Still not learning from past history?”; and “This is excessive. Temples don’t pay taxes, so where is the income going?”
