Aum Patchrapa Softens Toward Acting Again but Wants to See the Pay First, Teasing Ae Supachai as a Dream Seller

After Channel 7HD posted the launch of a major period drama, "Sane Nang" which Ae Supachai Srivijit is producing, bringing together top-tier actors in the entertainment industry, led by the superstar actress, Aum Patchrapa Chaichua, along with the young leading actor, Ananda Everingham, also starring, Naw Tisanart, Janis Janista, Joss Wayar, and Keng Harit, which caused a stir. Recently, we met Aum Patchrapa at the opening of the “AumAum” market on the G floor of Seacon Bangkae shopping center and took the opportunity to get an update on this matter.

Asked about the drama, how far along is the decision?

"If I'm free, I want to help Ae. (Have the roles been assigned already?) I haven't talked to Ae for weeks now, not about work at all, only about other trivial things like going to pay respects at temples. No work discussions. I really don't know. At first, I had other work scheduled, but it hasn't happened because of him."

How do you feel about the news that you might return to acting? People are happy.

"I'm happy. Deep down, I want to act again, but I want to do roles that satisfy me. Ae said the script is fun. I read it a year ago but forgot, so I need to read it again."

How much has Ae persuaded you so far?

"He’s quietly waiting. The news came out, but he hasn't spoken directly to me."

Did he say if you don’t accept, he’ll burn down your house?

"Perfect timing! I want a new house because the current one isn’t finished yet, and the money is running out."

What factors will influence your decision to take the role?

"Many things, but my readiness is the number one factor. I couldn’t accept roles recently because my dog passed away on 20 May. After that, I started going out and working again. Before, I didn’t want to leave home at all. Now I’m back at work."

Are you softening your stance yet?

"Softening toward Ae? Actually, he hasn’t talked to me; he talks to others. I don’t know about it. Someone who looks after Ae called once, but it wasn’t a serious conversation."

He’s willing to offer a high salary. Can you come back anytime you want?

"My schedule is usually clear about when I start and finish filming for every project. I’m not trying to take advantage. I’m always clear with everyone about work hours. As for money, that’s negotiable."

How do you prepare to return to acting?

"I have to prepare, including getting my body ready. This drama seems demanding, not easy. I have to mentally prepare myself, not be petty about small things. But right now, I can be petty because I haven’t accepted yet."

What do you think about the scale of this project?

"I have cleared my schedule but haven’t told Ae yet."

Finally, will you fall for Ae’s persuasion?

"Wow... given this much publicity, if I don’t act, it would be bad."

Has he been persuading you for many years?

"I need to see if the money is really as promised or if he’s exaggerating. I want to see if he can really do it."

Did he approach Ananda too?

"Yes, they’ve worked together before. He acts very well. (Did he say he’s interested because of you?) I’m interested because Ae sells dreams a lot. He says it’s fun in many ways. If I feel suspicious, he says there’s no night shooting, it’s close to home, not tiring, and someone will entertain us on set. I’m an early riser but dislike working late; I go to bed early."

Are you currently reviewing the project?

"I’m not being difficult. Ae is confident and doesn’t want to be opposed. They’ll discuss matters behind closed doors first."

Has he selected people who get along with you to be on standby?

"I don’t know about that; you’d have to ask him. I’m happy to work with everyone."
