Tess Myron Has Been Single for 22 Years, Ready to Find a Partner Whos Funny, Looks Not a Priority

This handsome leading man is definitely the one who's single!! Tess Myron Recently, he attended the "One Phenomenon Shakes the Screen" event at Muangthai Ratchadalai Theatre, Esplanade Ratchada. We took the chance to ask about his love life. He said he has been single for 22 years, only having girlfriends in dramas. Regarding his type, he's not serious about looks, just wants someone funny. Additionally, Tess updated us on his new work as a lead actor on One Channel.

How is it being a new lead actor on One Channel?

"As everyone has seen, it’s quite an intense romance series. I hope all the actors convey their characters' love so the audience can clearly feel it."

For sure, the show is spicy with intense love scenes?

"Yes, there are love scenes and quite a lot of romantic scenes — the most I’ve ever done. Luckily, I worked with very professional actors and director. We also had an Intimacy Coach who carefully planned every detail — from arm movements to reactions — to make the actors feel safest. This gave the cast more confidence."

How did you prepare, since you had to take your shirt off a lot?

"First, I exercised as usual. This show hardly has any shirts on, which is fine. For the next project, I’ll ask for cold weather (laughs). The wardrobe team smiled when they saw me because they didn’t have to work hard and could take a break."

Is this giving back to the viewers?

"What does giving back mean? (laughs) Oh, do I have to answer this? Well, yes, giving back to the viewers (laughs). I was surprised by the question."

How’s your Thai language now?

"I feel more confident, but new words keep coming in and I’m absorbing them little by little. For example, to say 'I speak naturally' took some time to get right. I already have a Thai teacher who helps with pronunciation, and when I got this role, I went to see him. I’ll let the viewers judge if I’m doing well. Also, the culture from that era is different from now, so I have to learn."

Any words you found confusing?

"There was the word ‘under the house floor’ which I didn’t understand at all until I asked Perth (Weerinthorn Tangkitsuwanich). Now I know it means a stilt house with a space underneath."

How is working with Perth?

"Perth is very lovely, and Film (Thanapat Kawila) is very talented too — like my acting teacher. I see him in character every second; he’s a big inspiration to me. Perth is also very skilled and experienced, having acted in many shows. Whenever I’m in a scene with him, he helps me, and we have good chemistry."

You made content for Chinese New Year in Yaowarat — how was that?

"It was fun and a bit confusing (people secretly ship us?). Yes, I just kept serving it up."

Are you starting to understand creating content now?

"Yes, at first I was a little shy, but now maybe even more shy. I post too much (laughs). Do I rehearse beforehand? I prefer to be natural and don’t like much preparation. It’s good though, because at first I was very nervous — this is my first time with One Channel. After meeting Perth and Film, I felt less nervous and trusted my co-actors."

It seems you adjusted quickly to your new colleagues?

"I try my best. I don’t put up walls with anyone, especially since it’s like switching schools. I have to fit in here, so I do my best."

How’s your love life now?

"It’s free. Very free. I want to work. If anyone wants to apply, they can apply. I’m ready to read."

How can you be single with looks like that?

"I’m mostly on set. I do read inboxes, but most don’t understand (laughs). Maybe they’re disappointed. I’d rather keep quiet and focus on work. I just finished filming, so now I’m focusing on traveling abroad. I want to travel fully before returning to shoot another project."

How long have you been single?

"I’ve been single for 22 years."

Never had a girlfriend?

"Only in dramas (should you believe that?). Honestly, I don’t know."

Who taught you to answer like that?

"Film (laughs)."

What’s your view on love?

"I think if it’s meant to happen, it will happen naturally. I feel it’s important because as an actor, I should understand all emotions. But right now, I’m really busy working."

There are many beautiful people in the industry. Haven’t you felt attracted to anyone?

"Everyone is beautiful; that’s why they’re actors. I’m not easily swayed."

Do you feel attracted when you see beautiful people?

"If a beautiful person walks by, I think ‘she’s beautiful,’ but I don’t do anything because I’m here to work."

What kind of person would make you feel attracted?

"Honestly, I’m not very serious about looks. I’m fine with any looks, as long as you’re funny (smiles)."
